The easiest and most sure fire way to get deep extended articulate and dynamic bass that blends seamlessly with your Quads is four subs. Type, size and power matters very little when you use four. Or more. Do a search for distributed bass array, Swarm subwoofer system, or just read all posts by Audiokinesis.
