New Magico A1 Bookshelf Speakers!

I still have not gotten the chance to hear the A1s but I'm getting intel that they are amazing.

Did they use the Magico sub?

As a current A3 owner, I'd imagine the A1s to be something special, but as with all speaker choices, it does come down to what you like to listen to and prefer, taking lots of factors into account.  I love the A3.  Amazing sound in a small footprint and easy to place.  I recently moved on from my A3s to Revel Salon2s.  The biggest factor was my desire to combine my 2-channel system and dedicated theater system into 1 setup.  With Magico, it just wasn't cost effective nor did they have the product breadth to cover my needs.  Revel has that covered.  So up for sale the A3s go.  If you can accommodate the A3, you should look at mine.  Not much more than an A1 new. ;-)

It's interesting that the Magico A3 floorstander was among the most anticipated and popular releases by that company ever, yet not a peep out of Stereophile in terms of a review.
I asked about that on the Stereophile site, and the editor replied in a very vague, cautious tone in a way that implied that, yeah, there's a "reason" why that never happened, but they aren't gonna talk about it.  Wonder what happened?

Looking at the design, it's a kinda modern interpretation of classic standmount designs. Dont think that was intended, but sealed enclosure, relatively wide baffle(for a modern design) and fairly nondescript look - is growing on me
