Just had a similar experience without using Roon. After a couple of days the Zenith went all funky and I had to restart. I am told a new operating system/app is due later this year. Mind- the Zenith SQ is first rate.
Zenith 3/Matrix: the day the music dies
I’m streaming with an Innuous Zenith 3 and PS Audio Directstream dac with a matrix, using Roon. I love the Innuous...but about 4-5 times a week, the music suddenly dies. First it breaks up and becomes staticky and then stops completely. The Zenith/Matrix seem to lose contact with my roon zone (which is the Matrix) because Roon then asks me to select a zone and the Matrix is not listed as a choice. Turning the Zenith off and restarting it solves the problem—the Matrix reappears, I select it and all is good...until it happens again a day or two later. . It’s pretty annoying because the process of rebooting thr Zenith takes 5-10 or more minutes. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas for how to fix it? Thanks.
