Your last concert was to see who and when?

Pretty simple, what and when was your last concert?

djones51,
Why has it been 45 years since your last concert? Don't you enjoy live music?
n80,
I stay away from the big bands at big venues, because they are the most expensive. I seek out interesting bands at medium to small venues. Sound and sight is much better anyway. And yes, ear plugs are a wise idea as we get older.
Whatever his reasons for disliking Art Garfunkel, it's gotten very old over the years, and it is part one of the reasons that I don't hold much respect for him. I'm sure that with their close proximity for a number of years, there were plenty of reasons to be annoyed or worse, but in the end, the way a person can put those things away and move forward with a loving spirit is the way he's measured. It jus makes a lot of his songs ring false.
I saw Robin Trower last Thursday at  the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, and he was just great. I think everyone was in awe at least a little.
I went to see Kansas in Tempe, AZ a couple of weeks ago. I had no desire to see them, but my best concertgoing buddy been nagging me for three years and finally treated me to the show.
Long story short, I became an instant fan. These guys are musicians, and not just a used up legacy act. Everyone there was completely engaged from the first moment, and during a 2 hour show with no intermission I never saw anyone get up to use the bathroom which was a first for me after 50 years of concerts. They started acoustic then went electric, and even though they were all great, original guitarist Rich Williams stood out as an outstanding player. See them if you can, even if you're a sceptic like I was.
Steve Hackett (formerly of Genesis long ago) at the Van Buren in Phoenix on Thursday. I saw him at the same place a little over a year ago, and he was great again. Great supporting band and wonderful sound. He's very worth seeing if he comes your way. This time, he played for nearly 3 hours with a 20 minute intermission, and after that intermission they performed all of Selling England by the Pound as well as part of Trick of the Tail. We were in the second row, and it was really mesmerizing.
I am very excited to be going to my first post pandemic (I guess we can't really say that yet) this Saturday to see and hear Squeeze here in AZ.
I've seen them more times than any other band, but it never gets old.
I saw the Indigo Girls being interviewed a couple of years ago, and the one sounded like a warbling old lady from a nursing home...really.

Steve Hackett and his band at the Celebrity theatre in Phoenix two weeks ago. Wonderful as usual. They really are the band that carries forth the memories of early and mid-period Genesis music, as well as Steve’s own music. It was very emotional.

Kansas at Wild Horse Pass Casino in AZ earlier this month. Really good as usual.

Joe Bonamassa 2 weeks ago in Phoenix. It was my first time seeing him, and boy, that man can raise hell with a guitar! Great experience, and well worth the money. Myself and my concert-going buddy were mightily impressed.

Chris Issak is always a great show. What a band!

I saw The John Lodge Band last week at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix performing Days of Future Passed. Very good overall, and it had some moments of greatness as that album does.
