I'm not making any criticism of Veritas cables as I haven't heard them, but I will say that these Xangsane, their top interconnect model, are $145.00 plus tax whereas the Veritas are $349.00 as an introductory price and are not their top model. In addition to that, I thought that their description was very circumspect. They don't specify metal used for wire or RCA's (they say they use what's best for each model), and then say that they don't want to confuse the potential buyer with too many details, which sounds ridiculous to me.
Xangsane says what they use as well as showing a detailed cutaway of the internals. The wire is sillver and the RCA's are gold plated copper.
