Wolf Ear Audio

I ordered a preamp from Andrew Rintoul at Wolf Ear Audio in Calgary CA. The transaction had been going fine, emailing back and forth, and then he mentioned he was super busy with work - healthcare and finance. Makes total sense! I'm being patient, but I haven't heard from him in two weeks. Communication just sort of stopped.

Anyone know if he's ok?

Yep I've tried both and still no response. I guess I was hoping someone on here knows him or just the company really well. Again, I hope he's just swamped with work but I both fear for his safety and would love to hear his work.

just going out on a limb......but he might not be open due to what is going on ?

try calling every couple of days .

"Ordered a preamp" means he has your money,
in addition to your trust?  Do you have his home
address and phone, yet?

Ha yes I have definitely paid him. So yes I'm waiting for the preamp. But also he's been really good via email up until two weeks ago and did mention he's really busy at work with Covid-19 related stuff. Just weird to not hear from him all of a sudden. Seemed legit!

I shouldn't say 'legit'. He's legit. I just hope he's ok and that he gets in touch soon.

Nah - that's my style. He's probably tied up with this pandemic. I will keep checking in weekly. Just wanted to see if anyone on here knew him and could check in to see if he's ok.

UPDATE - I finally heard back from him. He and his family were under quarantine in Calgary. I'm really relieved he's ok! 

Preamp will ship soon, and I'm psyched to hear his work.  Thanks, folks!

I am going through the same thing w/ Andrew and Wolf Ear. This has been going on for weeks. Same kind of replies - COVID, wildfires, etc. Can you please tell me if your situation has been resolved? If so, how do you like the product? Thank you.

I have an original Kitoki V1 which I like very much. He's responsive when i email him questions on the rare occasions. I certainly get the sense that this is not Andrew's full-time gig. I do think you will be happy with the new gear.

Thanks. Coincidentally, Andrew just let me know the amp is on its way from Canada. He also upgraded the caps to make up for the long lead time. I thought that was really nice.

I am glad you are enjoying the V1, and I look forward to hearing Andrew's work via the Kitoki V3.
