Wireless amp to juice rear surround speakers?

Looking for a little advice and clarity. Is it possible to install a wireless amp (Denon Heos Amp/Sonos/play-fi technology) for my rear ceiling speakers. If so, it will dictate which AVR I will can buy (Marantz/Rotel). From what i understand this fairly new technology can only power Stereo speakers but not rear ceilings to create a 5.1 home theater.

TIA

I have used a Rocketfish system for years with great success. It has a sender unit that hooks up to speaker outputs of your amp, which also plugs in electrically with an included small wall wart power supply. This sends the signal to the other end, claiming a distance of over 100 feet using RF, which is a T amp that hooks up to the speakers you want wireless. This is a smaller than a cigar box unit, that requires an electric outlet. It has it’s own volume control, with it being dependent on the main, sending amps volume. I hope this helps. Enjoy! MrD.
