Why so many Indras?

my 2m pair is one of the adds and it's strictly there because the 2nd indra pair..i have 2 in my system...does not give the significant benefit that the first did...which was/is amazing...and i am in the market for a different pair of speaker cables...dave elrod's new cables..and am selling the 2m pair for that reason. trust me..the cables are every bit as good as the reviews but the 2nd pair isn't that synergistic.

I did bought 2 pairs of the same Stealth cables and sold the extra pair too. I too found the combo of Stealth and other brands sounds way better.
Also, maybe some folks don't find Stealth sound not suitable to their ears.
As far as price goes, I do think it is a bit pricy and hard to resell.

Has it been discontinued? I can't find any mention of the Indra on the Steath website:

No, the Indra is not discontinued. I use Indra throughout my system except on the Exemplar/Denon 2900 where I prefer the Vacuum Reference. I too think the price is high but relative to the competition at the top, there are many even more expensive cables.

Why do you think there's no mention on the Indra on the Stealth site?

Why so many Cardas. Everyone raves about them but no one seems to keep them. Same for a lot of other stuff. Who knows. Some are always looking.

Garyk, Serguei has only a limited amount of the wire for the Indra and he is selling it through dealers.

Michael, I, at least, have learned that it is extraordinary on some components and less so on others.

It's been my observation that about every product/component, and a cable model in particular, if it's good and popular, eventually makes its way to Audiogon and is sold "used" (i.e. 2nd hand). Why the Indra should be an exception? The same question can be asked about NordOst Valhalla, Cardas Golden Cross/Reference, Siltech, etc.
Aside from that, there IS a reason for the Indra users to sell their "beta" pairs. All 50 beta pairs were equipped with the Cardas Ultimate RCA connectors. The final, production Indra version is equipped with proprietary state-of-the-art STEALTH RCA connectors. The beta cables cannot be reterminated with the STEALTH connectors because they are, in fact, an integrated part of the cable: the hollow pure silver center pin in pressure-fit onto the wire, while the Cardas connectors were soldered to the wire through an intermediate ferrule/splice (because the amorphous Indra wire is not solderable).

Needless to say that at the level of the Indra refinement, the difference between connectors is (relatively) easy to hear.

The final Indra version is not available disounted and is sold through authorized dealers only. The beta Indra pairs were indeed sold direct and discounted; this is how the STEALTH beta program works: we offer cables to our beta testers much cheaper than retail in exchange for their detailed opinion about the sound, in writing. More information on the STEALTH beta testing program can be found on the STEALTH WEB site:
