WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATE FOR THE HIGH END GEAR ON AUDIO GEAR?

Lots of the different views on these threads have always been here, but the rhetoric has certainly gotten much nastier the last few years...and yes, many researchers believe Dunning-Kruger operates in both directions...ultimately, I believe it's just  sad ...

not to mention the bottle of Scotch that sold for $2.1 Million yesterday...certainly high end audio is a tiny little world in a huge economic/social/political...

I find no need or reason to try to convince anyone, especially who has clearly different thoughts about it...I love how my system sounds, and certainly hope you are very happy with yours....some of my components and cables selected after double blind testing, others not...all bought with full return option...

human hearing in many ways is not extensively understood or measurable, and there certainly are individual differences...the process is the same, but the results are different...

We all have our own beliefs, and decision making processes...there are hundreds and hundreds of threads essentially identical to this one...read and enjoy !

But Magnolia doesn’t sell the good Martin Logan models…

Magnolia sells some great stuff. We are lucky that it’s easier than ever to put together a great low cost music system 

Definitely ears.  Though good looking industrial design is nice too. 

nothing scary scottwheel…your views have been expressed here by many, many times, for many years… you make some good points… though many of us have a different experience and point of view… its just very repetitive, and being so aggressive and publicly calling people you don’t know dicks sure doesn’t help. This is an old endless debate that has never changed anyone’s beliefs. We are all happy with our music systems so all is well.

Totally agree here scottwheel ...I’m definitely thinking that nobody was thinking you were in China...though also agree it has no relevance to you finding all the previous responses except that one...

Agree again. It’s all rather irrelevant and pointless at this time. 

I've always assumed that pricing is determined to maximize profit...nothing subtle or tricky here
