Why is abusive, negative content allowed?

And, I've likely deserved it. I agree that the better forums that remain 'mostly' on-topic are of more interest to those that the said discussion has meaning for. There are the ones that head off into the stratosphere of endless pages of circular 'commentary' that's more reminiscent of a bloodless bar fight,but....*sigh* We all have our POV...ultimately, a Good Thing. (The following is 'MHO') The recent forum (now deleted) by 'he whose name is being tactfully not being used (much)' was disturbing to me on some levels. I'd like to address that....with your kind permission....or not...*s* Either it's a very deep game played upon the gathered, inciting everyone into a froth; the rationale for which we can only assume is a very personal 'cosmic joke'....that 'we' keep falling into. Or, a deeply held belief that he Does Have The Answer. And we obviously don't agree. Now...the old saying, "Starve a cold, feed a fever." reminds me of a means of treating trolls....or a psychosis. Response...of any sort....feeds the fever, or the troll. If you want The Game (or whatever) to end....Stop responding. Personal attacks are just another form of 'meal'. glupson, there's always room for improvement, which personally I leave room for. *S* Spouse is off on a 'plant hunt', which is her hobby; I'm doing some 'low-impact' defered maintainence this 'n that. The weather is great, the type one doesn't write home about (since it makes them want to move here). AVL is growing fast enough... Geo, on the shoulders...medium impact, approval variety. *G* Too early to tell if you're 'on your cam' yet (automotive reference...).
