MUSIC.

A great thread! People forgot why the hi-end audio.

TUCKER BOWE The term "hi-fi" — or "high fidelity" — dates back to the 1950s when it was used to describe audio equipment that was able to faithfully reproduce music. It meant that the music sounded like you were listening to the band or artist in person.

Nowadays, people don’t talk about the music and musicality. All they say is the sound. People spend so much money and effort to upgrade, and they won’t be satisfied unless they focus on the musicality.

I can’t listen to opera MUSIC, not my taste.

But go to the opera with high quality SOUND, yes.

The Opera music could be your taste if your audio system is capable. Many people like to listen R&R/pop music since their musical notes are direct, simple, and easy to understand. Almost any low-fi systems are fine with them.

To engage with many classical music, a good audio system is needed. Any veil, brightness, distortion, and low resolution sounds are a interference to the listening many classical music. Also, even if you have a capable system, your ears need few hours or days to get used to the sound.

Human ears don’t lie. If you’ve been listening a good music, you ears can’t stand a bad sound/music. You will notice a better sound system when you hear it. If you are around many good systems, you will notice differences and will chose your taste. If you can’t hear the difference, they are all bad sound systems.

Just remember, the original music is cleanest, smoothest, and the most musical.
