Thanks all. I do use my VPI 16.5 to clean my records but I haven't looked for a correlation between recently cleaned and older vinyl and that debris accumulation. I'll keep my eye out on that.
White debris on front of cartridge
Hi all. I’ve noticed when I play vinyl with my Clearaudio Maestro V2 MM, an accumulation of white dust forms on the front of the cartridge. Yet when I play my Hana SL MC cartridge, there’s no accumulation. What’s going on? Is it a tracking force issue? I set each cartridge well within the limits of its recommended tracking force.
