try hello hifi. i'd bet the farm that they're the most cussed, ...er discussed, retailer on these fora. best buy an asbestos suit, tho, if you request any info not "in the program."
cornfedboy, i don't tink ya need an asbestos suit for this comment, but doncha tink it'd really be better to pay a little more, all tings considered? or, wait for a deal, if yure really stretching the budget? ;~)
regards, doug
ps, i'd try audio-video logic, i tink they're a thiel dealer...
doug: ya shure, ya betcha! i'd pay retail to avoid HHF. that last comment is my personal opinion only and is NOT intended to be, nor is it, an endorsement or disparagement of any person or other legal entity associated with or connected to AudiogoN, its agents, representatives, principals or assigns, whether known or unknown, and any inferences derived therefrom to the contrary notwithstanding are purely coincidental. (that last bit is lawyer talk for "i coulda made a mistake here... but i doubt it.")
I thought Thiel was one of the most adamant, "You won't be buying our products on the web!!!!" manufacturers out there, so I'm doubting you'll find a retailer who sells them via the web or a particularly good deal on a new pair. If you're in an area that has no Thiel dealer, you might find one via the web that will sell you a pair, but if they want to stay a Thiel dealer I'm sure they'll double-check the transaction. Thiel is apparently very proud of this stance.
Rules was meant to be broken; Cornfed will defend you and the dealer if you run into any problems,/ NOT. With no close dealer, somebody should give you a deal. Maybe not by email; but over the phone.+++ Don't forget dealer demos, those they can deal on out of the area.
