Where does your user name come from?

I'm a chemist/molecular biologist and in the lab I use pipete aids for liquid transfers. These are made by Gilson and called pipetmans. Sort of a no-brainer to make a moniker out of it, although it's somewhat (hopelessly?) geekish.
Actually, I was quite intrigued to learn, that Subaruguru - one of the regulars here - actually developed these things.
