whatsbestforum - what's going on

I thought I could reduce my presence here and participate elsewhere so I registered on this site called whatsbestforum. First it looked harmless. I did not read the about section.

I made one comment, a speaker recommendation - did not name or mention anyone - just posted a link to a speaker site and I was immediately banned. The site went into an endless loop, with the you are banned message. I can't log off or view anything, the only way I can view it is if I start another private browser. On top of that, a few hours later, the message changed to "Your IP address has been banned."  Like I am some kind of criminal to be kept away with a restraining order and pepper spray.

I wonder if it's an exclusive site or a cult, and if anyone from here is a successful member over there. The about us section is truly disturbing. I am not taking it personally, but it does bother me of course.

I observed the Gon as a non participant for close to 3 Years before joining.

I was aware of what was possible to occur when I started posting, and have developed a amusing to myself way of writing whilst being participant.

My Objective for nearly all my Posts has been to ensure the Non Participating Member and Non Member looking in have an alternate information to consider and has knowledge of one who represents them with this consideration.

I am not supplying Math, or Objective evaluation. I keep things focused on Experiences had, End Sound and Impression Made. Where good impression is found, for myself, it is worthwhile passing on to the broader audience who have a shared interest.

The need to take this further afield is not important to me, I have seen Pindac  come up as a link to the Gon in many a Google Search I have done on a Audio Related matter.

The emails received within the forum as well, where members are to seek a further assistance with an area of interest to them, helps with the notion it is worthwhile being forum active.

I have not got a view on Forums that have been visited outside of the Gon.

Hey @carlos269 IMHO you are way off the mark regarding WBF. I don't post there but have learned more there in 1 yr than 15+ here on Agon. Again just my opinion and observations not saying anything else.

@rsf507 Care to elaborate what you learned there? I’m not sure what your experience in audio, technical background, and starting general knowledge is, so perhaps there are current discussions on there that can help you learn and educate you. Glad to hear that you are getting something out of it.

What I’m, and I’m sure others here are also, wondering, if you have “learned more there in 1 yr than 15+ here on Agon”, then why do you post and remain here on Agon and why don’t you join, post, and contribute there on WBF?
