Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Curiousjim,

Most of the songs are really pretty good! It surprised me! Too bad they turned up the loudness knob...

CCR- Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits. Just released today via Quboz 24/192hz.

It is claimed to be a new 2023 remaster.

Thus far...maybe, it sounds better.

Neil Young- The new Qobuz HR download at 24-192hz. Ragged Glory- "Smell The Horse".

curiousjim,

Great album.

A Neil Young recording that I would like to see remastered is "Freedom".

I've been playing the Bee Gees greatest hits and a few others. I know, I know, but I was really surprised as to how many really great songs they did!

John "Cougar" Mellencamp. He sure did a lot of catchy tunes. However, I heard him interviewed recently and he seems a little whacky.

curiousjim,

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have listened to his latest release.

Hackney Diamonds- The Rolling Stones

Like the music but the recording is too compressed!

curiousjim,

Live In Japan has such a live (innocence) sound to it. Can't say the songs are that great, but I give them credit for playing without any added sonic overdubs.

I'm sort of embarrassed to admit, but I just listened and enjoyed "The Best Of Tom Jones"

Badfinger. Some songs sound like the Beatles but may actually be better!

A very underrated group! IMHO.
