Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

@mv_lopez - I love the versions of "Castles Made of Sand/Little Wing" on the Best of Tuck and Patti album. It's really good IMHO.
@uberwaltz @dougsat  - Here's a nice one for you.....

Tab Benoit - "Nice and Warm" - The title track is great and the whole album is pretty darn good too.....
@slaw - I have that same Counting Crows Record. I agree that the sound quality is excellent. And the songs are excellent too....
Just back from a grueling week of work travel. First on the TT tonight, the most excellent album:

Rush - "Hemispheres"

Marc Cohn - S/T -On CD.  Man, this is one killer debut album. So good. Anyone else have any love for this one?
Dido - "No Angel"

Haven't listened to this in a couple of years. Not as good as I remembered.........
@johnc5  - Yep, great song, but Wow! $110. It's a good album, but not that good. Fortunately, it is available on Spotify and on YouTube.
Based on some recent comments, I pulled out my old copy of UK's self-titled first album. First time I've listened to it in 20-30 years. Anyway, after listening to it, I realize why I haven't listened to it in 20-30 years. Not a fan. Really great musicians and great playing. I just don't care for the compositions.
@uberwaltz - was out of town for  family wedding when I saw your reply about UK. I was going to ping you and send you my copy of the S/T LP. Anyway, glad you found both of them and I hope you enjoy.....
David Gray - "Mutineers" - free digital download of the album received with purchase of tickets for his 2014 Summer Tour. Was a great show.
@boxer12 - "Joshua Judges Ruth" is a classic. Love it. Have you ever seen Lyle live? He puts on a great show.

Happy Friday!
@uberwaltz - "Why are we Here? Because we're here. Roll the Bones, Roll the Bones......."

I like that Rush album......
Bettye Lavette - "I've Got My Own Hell To Pay" on CD. Great covers of some really good songs. Produced by Joe Henry. The standouts for me are "Down to Zero" and "Just Say So". Real soul.......
Big Head Todd and the Monsters - "Sister Sweetly" - A really good '90's rock album....
@nutty - Amazing! ...... I thought I would stump everyone with Moxy. Good on you brother.
@bdp24 - Nope, didn't see them when they graced our shores. I remember, at the time, I didn't understand all the hoopla and didn't even buy the record. Things have changed.......

BTW, my copy of the record has the Rockpile 1980 - Seconds of Pleasure - Weeks of Touring - US Tour dates, printed on the back cover (not a sticker, printed on the back cover of the gatefold). Looks like there were 20-25 nights, spread over 4 weeks - Mid-November to Mid-December 1980. Wish I could say I was there, but.........
In honor of Halloween I decided to play the scariest music I could find in my collection. I settled on

PJ Harvey - "Rid of Me"

Really scary stuff....
@uberwaltz - I have an old, original copy of "Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live" live on LP and I still listen to it regularly. It's a great record......
@stereo5 - "Animals" is probably my favorite Pink Floyd album. I still spin it regularly.....
