Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

True Blue ... Madonna.

Yep, odd choice but I saw her on her " material" tour and it was an outstanding concert.
Eclipse .... Journey.

Rather compressed CD but helps having tone controls on the old Sanyo receiver!
Nice picks Stereo5.

No matter what people say I just cannot get into Amused to Death.
For me Radio K.A.O.S or Hitchhikers are much more musical and cohesive.

Just my jaundiced opinion of course....

So I am preaching to the converted already ... Lol.
Btw some great stuff you playing tonight with Beck and Bowie.
Keep it up, love Diamond Dogs!
Eight arms to Hold You ... Veruca Salt.

Great album but first CD I have listened to in forever on the main rig.
After weeks of analog diet via R2R, cassette and vinyl unfortunately it now sounds just so digital.
Where is the life and bloom and warmth ?

Rhetorical question.....
Haha Boxer.
It ain't that bad yet!
Just slipped some of my favorite ceramic cones under the CEC and a nice improvement.
These things cost $2 each off the Bay and offer a staggering return in investment IMHO.
Just picked up Deep Purple In Rock on 180g vinyl, looking forward to spinning that later
Boxer I do not.
i will look for it on Qobuz.

Right now.

Days of Open Hand .... Suzanne Vega
Found an oddball tape in my pile.

Metal Physics 101. "Rock sampler tape for RCA acts, official unofficial promo tape".

I can find zero info on it but assume it was issued by RCA?

Anyway some decent tracks on it so it’s a keeper, like the one playing now by Udo of Accept.
Boxer
Yes very familiar with Accept themselves fronted by a perpetual angry little German called Udo.
Great if you like being constantly shouted at by said little German! He does not have an off or mellow out switch!
Funny guy.....

There was also a track by Deep Purple on it called Fire in the Basement. It certainly did not sound like Purple to my ears but who am I to argue.
Up a Lazy River ... Leon Redbone.

Good one to wind the night down with.

Night all......
Good call on Robbie there Greg!

Right now be a Moody Blues bender for a while.
One R2R tape playing with 4 albums.

Every good boy deserves favours
Seventh Sojourn
On the Threshold of a Dream
Days of Future Passed.

Should keep me out of trouble for a while......
Next Moody Blues Tape.

In Search of the Lost Chord.
To our Children's Children's Children.
A Question of Balance.

I think will be od on Moody Blues by then.
This next one right up Boxers street.

Bathtub Love Killings ... Olivia Jean.

Tidal
A true classic David.

Exodus lives in the CD player in the wife's Escape on continual rotation it seems.
Gavman.
So sorry but sort of glad not just myself had this problem.
About 2 years ago one of my cats was sick over my BAT power amp, took put the left channel.
Not a good day!
Gavman
Sorry it does not help any.
But yep my calico decided the $8500 amp was the best place to yak on, guess she has taste…...

Fortunately Victor at BAT was able to instruct me to be able to just remove the left power bank and ship to him for repair. This weighed about 35lb rather than the 125lb of the complete amp.
Still near $350 all in.

Boulder 2060?

Ouch!

Very ouch!
Acoustic Live ... Nils Lofgren.

Tidal

One of the best acoustic sets I have heard.
Boxer
Was tempted to make cat casserole that night........

Robbie Robertson S/T

Cassette
I had a Kinks blast couple days ago Boxer.

Lola vs Powerman is a true classic.
Great choice with Marillion!
Steve Wilson remix is awesome.

Lives in the Balance ... Jackson Browne
