Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Good old FM radio!
96.9 The Eagle classic hits station local here near Jacksonville, Florida!
Well 219 to be precise ... Lol.
And only 1 tape was a duplicate so quite a good eBay haul I would say.

So without further ado.....

Smokin’ .... Humble Pie.
I did Boxer!
Off work this week so got some serious listening in today.

Plus I just had bought another 200 plus cassettes ... Lol.

But now it's time for shift change.

Take it away Boxer!
Walk On .... Boston .

Cassette.

Good job I have a cassette deck in every system now.... Lol.
Ozzy.

What do you think of that CCR at Woodstock?

I think it was Stereo5 who was not impressed with the SQ.
Blind Melon S/ T

Cassette

SQ on this one?
I would be as bold as to say that THIS is the tape anybody should listen to on a great deck if they wanted to know how good cassette replay can sound.

It's that good.......
Reconciled ... The Call.

Probably their best album and a must have 80,s album.

Did not hurt that I Still Believe was in one of my fave 80,s movies The Lost Boys.

I know what I am watching tonight......
Agreed Boxer, it's a pretty neat album all round.

Like your choice of Dandy Warhohls to follow ... Lol.
I got dem ol Kosmic Blues again Mama .... Janis Joplin.

R2R

This is a spectacular recording and played back via a new to me Jolida Black Ice tube buffer has raised it to new heights indeed.

I really like this album, I think you would as well.

His voice can take some getting used to is about all I would say.
Sonia Dada S/T.

Boxer I had that Robertson tape in my hands 10 minutes ago but popped in something else!
Where I Should Be .... Peter Frampton.

Nos and sealed virgin vinyl before I opened it this morning.

Would this class as a " super hot stamper" ? Lol.
Thx Boxer.

Had to take a break , the wife's birthday so family meal out but now back to my regular programming.

Continue with some more Hot Tuna, Acoustic Live set.

The SQ on this is absolutely out of this world, I have no idea how they make the bass appear behind me to my right but they do. Neat trick.
Third Stage ... Boston.

Always noted for great production, this tape in HQ really hits the mark!
Boxer.

It is actually called Hot Tuna live at The New Orleans House.
It is an acoustic live set and simply one of the best recorded live albums I have ever heard, possibly even better than Nils Lofgren Acoustic Live.

I think it is inbetween song 2 and 3 someone drops and breaks a glass and even though I know it's there I STILL think every time that the wife has dropped a glass in the kitchen!

Highly recommended!
