Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Boxer.

I have to admit to never having been a huge Zep fan ever or Floyd.
When I grew up in England out of the big FOUR I was Sabbath and Purple all the way.

But when I first heard In through the Out Door it just sounded right.
Truth is it was actually the very first Zep album I bought.
I still only own that one on vinyl ... Lol.
Yes Nutty you do!

I do not own any of her music so only stream it so posted over on my streaming thread.

She certainly rocks, quite addictive really, sort of a more raw Melissa Etheridge imho
Unfortunately I remember Northern Soul all too well..........

Good to be an expat!
Hey Boxer.

Looks like I got the day shift and you got the night shift here.......

😂😂😂😂😂
Nutty!

Long time no see, hope you are well.

Dream of Life .... Patti Smith.

Always enjoying the music!

Or why bother ... Lol.

When I was younger I drank a lot of beer period.....

Most times be hard pressed to tell you who I was listening to though.

Simpler times when I know I was not critical of the music SQ and general reproduction as I am now.

Having good gear is double edged being both a pleasure and also a curse at times!
You really do play a lot of Sparklehorse for sure Boxer.
I tried but just could not get into them.
Everyday..... Dave Matthews Band.

Fired up the C.E.C for the first time in ages to spin a cd.
As good as ever Stereo5.

It is definitely a keeper and I do not believe I will ever need anything better to spin the little silver discs.
I output it to my Ayre  EX8 via AES/EBU cable which sounds a fair bit more detailed and lively than via its analog outputs.
@reubent

Agreed that some of these superb SQ albums are just too much.

Slaw recommended the 45rpm version of el camino by the black keys as being the bomb.
But at $80?
My listening does not run to that for one album.

But in a leap of faith for his recommendations I found a NM copy on Discogs for half price $40 shipped.

We will see.
First time I have played it GK and I thought that myself right away.

It really is very good indeed, makes me wonder if the vinyl could be even better?
Thx Boxer.

Your musical tastes are eclectic to say the least .. Lol.

I maybe have heard of about third of the band's you play!

Either that or i am just getting old......
Fresh Cream.

Cassette.

Not listened to this for decades it seems, forgot how good it truly is.
@reubent .

I know right!

It's almost like we should be ashamed for it.....

But the guy can sing no doubt about it and his songs are usually pretty well recorded and mastered.
Nice album Stereo5.

Not worked up to splurging for any half speed masters yet.

I have been more the master of the thrift store and $1 bin at my LRS ... Lol.

But......

Following @slaw recommendation on El Camino at 45rpm I might have to cough up for a few more higher quality albums.
Ha!
Im counting on you!

Wilson's went a long time ago, been a speaker adventure since but......

Discovered Maggie's and subsequently discovered they are perfect for my very odd and acoustically challenged listening room.
