Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Vicious White Kids - Live at the Electric Ballroom, Camden 15. 8. 1978

Makes any discussion about strengths of audio equipment laughable.
Bohemian Rhapsody.

Piano, live, in the living room.

Does it count as a system?
david_ten,

Have you heard LC's recent release "Thanks For The Dance" compiled by his son, Adam Cohen?
Of course, would not miss it. I am impressd how well it seems to be put together given that music was added much later. At least that is how I understood it was done.
boxer12, uberwaltz,

If you can tolerate opera, Ca ira is actually quite pleasant. Do not expect Pink Floyd there. I have a SACD, very well recorded, etc.

If you are not into opera, skip it.
Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale, stereo version

Bonus 7 inch single that came with 2003 Classic Records issue of Procol Harum's first album.

If anyone is interested in Procol Harum, this package may be worth considering. The review tells a nice story about it...

stereo5,

"So, there you go, I know everyone was dying to know."

Not so fast. I have another question. Do you know what year was that SBM?

I also always found SACD somehow underwhelming/overdone.
Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale/Lime Street Blues (stereo DSD from 45 rpm 2003 single)
stereo5,

In case you are still roaming this thread, my Wish You Were Here SBM CD arrived today. I agree with your assessment and prefer it to SACD version although not dramatically.

Thanks for the hint/recommendation.
david_ten,

I may not be Patricia Barber’s fan, but she is surely not distortion.

Next time, I will not risk my ears again. I am going straight to The Muppet Show Album. I am serious. It is well-written, well-played, and actually pleasant.

My choice of two old men...

I tried with USA presidential debate, but it was just distortion.

Coldplay - Yellow after that.
