Dinner now though, so not sure if I will get back to more listening later.
@spiritofradio, yes Palmer had talent. That’s all I have of him on physical media, unfortunately. Worst thing about this pandemic, all the record stores here are closed.
Parliament—Mothership Connection
Modest Mouse—The Lonesome Crowded West
Robert Palmer—Secrets
Lee Morgan-Cornbread
I listened to a few things earlier but the prize goes to a rare demo 78 from the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival— Mississippi Fred McDowell , Big Mama Thornton rocking out. Really great sounds.
Boxer12–i hadn’t heard Pere Ubu in a million years. I had to take Joan Armatrading off the spinner and stream some Pere Ubu for a short revisit. I think I saw them at the Peppermint Lounge a ling time ago. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
