Fattburger, "Good News", Intima records, Direct Metal Mastering. 1986-1987.

Dave Brubeck Quartet, 25th Anniversary Reunion, A&M SP-714 from 1977. Got this near mint from an antique store, found the recording was rather bad.
A Portrait of Patsy Cline, Decca 4508. Fresh Aire, Mannheim Steamroller American Gramaphone AG-355. Foghat debut lp, Foghat Bearsville 2077. Take it Home, B.B. King MCA-3151.

The Foghat lp brought back fond memories of when the lp was released in the early 70's. The band played a free concert at a park in Wisconsin. The weather was great, the sweet smell of cannabis floating through the air, and a buddy brought some Corrs back from Colorado, which wasn't shipped east of the Mississippi at that time.

The B.B. King lp sounds marvelous, excellent recording.
Roy Buchanan, "Live in Japan"
Creatures of Leisure, "Mental as Anything"
Beatles, "Abbey Road"
Melvins "Houdini" and Melvins "Stoner Witch", blue vinyl. Got these plus Soundgarden "Superunknown", orange vinyl double lp, Queensryche "Promised Land", and Stone Temple Pilots "12 Gracious Melodies", purple vinyl, all for ten bucks at a yard sale. The guy said he never played them, only bought them to have them. I'm not into heavy metal, but couldn't pass them by. They are a little collectible, I guess.
Porcupine Tree, "In Absentia", tonefloat tf102,
Nora Jones, "Not too Late", analog productions,
Led Zeppelin III, Atlantic SD 19128,
The Original Trinidad Steel Band, Electra EKL 139
ICP Couldn't listen to the whole disc. But something a bit different is good to hear once in a while...
Heard some classics today. Dave Brubeck "Time Out", Miles Davis "Kind of Blue", Cannonball Adderley "Somethin' Else". Thunderstorms rolling through, had to unplug everything.
Have replaced my Grado Ref Sonata with a Benz Micro L2 so I listened to a few to see how I like it.
Cassandra Wilson, "Glamoured", EMI
Porcupine Tree, "In Absentia", Tonefloat
Cat Stevens, "Tea for the Tillerman", Analogue Productions.

Like it a lot.
Finally opened my Cassandra Wilson "Blue Light 'Til Dawn" lp set from Pure Pleasure Analogue. This is one of the best recordings I have heard in a while. The disc is extremely quiet. I thought for a moment I neglected to increase the volume after I cued it up. Most exellent!
Opened a still sealed copy of Yo-Yo Ma playing Dvorak: Cello Concerto, a CBS Records Masterworks release. A visual check shows the record in excellent condition. After a thorough cleaning, side one sounded like it had been abused for decades, side two wasn't the best, either. I hate when that happens!
My newly Soundsmith re-tipped Grado Ref. Sonata ($250 option) playing Cassandra Wilson and Porcupine tree. Soundsmith made this cartridge sound better than new. Brought tears to my eyes and stood my hair on end.
