@mayoradamwest
I just assumed you hadn't made the purchase yet, so sorry for the post.
To answer your question...if one's priority in a US machine is convenience, the AD is your guy. It does a better job of cleaning than the velvet-lipped, vacuum machines and costs quite a bit as well. AD has a reputation of a limited lifetime (3-4 years). Then it isn't user serviceable. I put together my DIY machine based on @rushton comprehensive thread and did some testing. You can find most of this (my testing) on the "Thumbs up for ultrasonic cleaning" thread.
With the AD one cannot clean the inside of it's tank easily/never completely. The rollers are nice but actually interfere with the cavitation process. There is no heating cycle. The cleaning cycle is way too short for maximum cleaning. |
there's an intensity about her music that is very compelling to me... |
@uberwaltz,
My normal work week, nothing exciting I’m afraid. Noticed you've been equipment shopping again? |
@uberwaltz,
With the new tonearm, surprised not much posting? |
The Califone record is great! I have most of their lps. |
Having owned/own an Audio Desk US cleaner for years, I'm a fan of DIY. |
"Crack Up" is really a wonderful sounding lp.SQ = 10! |
Up now...Doobie Brother "Livin’ on the Fault Line" a gifted OP |
had to finish mowing.....
"The Lion & the Cobra" is a really good lp, going to listen to side 2 again. |
more Sinead..."How About I Be Me (and you be you)? |
Jimi Hendrix "Axis:Bold As Love" 2013/Mono/Sony...totally forgot I owned this...most likely sourced from digital.... |
Tom Petty "American Treasure" sides 11&12 |
Delicate Steve "Positive Force" ...................................... Hey @16f4,

|
@jbhiller ,
I actually have a few Lou Rawls lps, in the wings. |

"Meet The Beatles" "Please, Please, Me" from the uK blue box/stereo |
"American Treasure"...if you're a fan, this set is a must have! |
Heart "Dreamboat Annie" OP Prince "Purple Rain" RTI/180gr |
T Rex "Electric Warrior" 2017 re-master ............................................. @uberwaltz,
I hear ya buddy. It was the fault of auto record changers back in the day. |
Neil Young "Road Rock" ( Friends & Relatives) dbl/lp The Youngbloods "Beautiful!" (Live in San Francisco, 1971) Sundazed |
So the stereo version has the vocals coming out of one channel and the drums/other from the opposing channel. This is what bothers me. Just like the Beatles mono/stereo comparisons. If a record is originally in mono, give me mono any day of the week! |
Now, BS "S/T" mono ................................ @bdp24,
What are you listening to buddy? |
Now, BS "Again" , mono BTW, the vinyl on this set is super quiet. |
|
Jenny Lewis "On The Line" |
Buffalo Springfield "What’s That Sound" box
I was surprised this set didn’t fly off the shelf! I found it heavily discounted early on. SQ is great! .................................................... While waiting on the BS box to clean..... Maria Taylor "In The Next Life" |
Now, the stereo version...same volume level... |
@nicks25,
Hope all is well.

Received the two sets of interconnects I sent to Maze_Audio. (The tonearm will be at a later date).
The IC I’m listening to now is the Duelund with their original RCAs. I had Chris @ Parts Connexion make this cable for my when my Funk Firm/Townshend Rock 7 combo was running. This is when I realized that there was something funky goin’ on with the DIN connection. I did hear it briefly then and it was easily a more open, better integrated IC than the Discovery Plus 4 Balanced (using Cardas adapters) right out of the box.
Had Tim @ Maze replace the DIN with the original Duelund RCAs, so I could have another interconnect to compare in my system which will never have another DIN connection...ever. This is replacing my Marc Tunis "Silver Ghost" phono cable.
Installed it and right away, I noticed a more profound enjoyable transient response, a more immersive sound experience. Now on the Ted Nugent lp, which I know isn’t a reference recording, (although the WLP sounds great!), everything shines naturally. The lower/deep bass however seems to be muted somewhat.
So onto the Ray Brown lp. I mean everything sounds superb right now. The piano sounds excellent! Ray’s upright bass is spot on.
I love the MT interconnects but don’t love his standard RCAs. I will replace them with KLE Absolute Harmony RCAs.
This is early on as the Duelunds have had hardly any time to break in. Fun, fun, fun!!!
BTW... I really like the Duelund RCAs. Seem to be VERY non-resonant. |

@big_greg,
Care to reveal the brand?
