Rush "All The World’s A Stage" OP/Masterdisk

This was a gift. My first time ever listening to it. The performance is very good, the SQ is not the best. It does wet my apatite for one of their studio lps though. Maybe "2112" later tonight?

Gonna finish the Courtney Barnett dbl EP. It had to be flattened and I ran out of time last weekend.
Even though the dbl EP was Courtney's first output, and it's recorded hot by comparison to most lps, I think it's her best sounding. Maybe the 45rpm EP from RSD?
Hey @noromance,

So, let me have it! What are your impressions? I can take it.
+1 @markcdaniel

BTW, the James Taylor lp MOV/ SQ = EX!

In a few....Neko Case "Hell On"...I remember being impressed with the song writing last year and unimpressed with the SQ. It will be interesting to hear if after my latest US cleaning method and system changes will make a difference.
Nothing has really changed from my initial thoughts about Neko's songwriting skills. Where she comes up with those lyrics and then makes them work, is a mystery. The sonics are better and much more enjoyable.

Bonnie Raitt "Slipstream" is next.
from "All The World's A Stage" sides 2 & 3...needed two rounds of flattening.

This is an OP, easy to tell because of one lp is sides 1 & 4 the other is sides 2 & 3"
Gonna crack open the RSD Pink Floyd  "A Saucerful of Secrets" /mono/RSD.

watch out!
re-listened to "Slipstream"
…………………………………...
"Love Over Gold"  from the Studio Albums Box Set
The above lp = SQ is off the charts!

re-listening to PF "Saucerful Of Secrets" RSD/Mono/SQ = EX+!
Harry Nilsson "Duit On Mon Dei" OP/RCA

Bruce Springsteen "The River"  1980/barcode
The Duelund cable does everything right, no over-exaggeration. Pretty, perfect!
The last three John Prine lps and the new Shelby Lynne scheduled to finally arrive tomorrow!
Of Monsters & Men "Beneath the Skin" .....love this band! Got their latest on order.
"All For You" isn't as extended as her 45rpm lps, but boy, does it sound gooooood.

Had to flatten the Basie lp, so that will be later.
ELO "Out of the Blue" US pressing/no barcode

Just got in a 6 pack Vicoustic Multifuser DC-2 diffusion panels. This was the last thing to try in my overall plan. (My room already sounds really good). I always wanted to try these on the ceiling and have been waiting on a deal. Right now I’m trying them at different places to hear their effects. I placed one on top of the "Aperature" on my back wall and the increase in vocal intelligibility and an overall sense of rightness is apparent.
"88 Basie Street" is awesome! I love this type of music and I lucked up on a sealed copy recently, (I had to pay up for it). Worth every penny. Exceptional in every way. Very close in SQ to the D2D Harry James.
Leonard Cohen "You Want it Darker" Woah!!! Haven’t listened to this lp in over a year and man, does it get better with system improvements.....
Mark Kozelek & Jimmy Lavalle "Perils From the Sea"

my last one for 24 hours
@ tedag,

Interesting that you mentioned Rory Gallagher, I just got in a sealed WLP copy of "Blueprint".
......................................................................................
Gonna finish up "Perils From the Sea".
Based upon listening to just one side of "Stay Around", it strikes me as  still yet fully formed. It just doesn't have the ultimate Cale SQ, structure, & vibe I'm use to hearing.
Rory's guitar is still smokin' on "Against the Grain", WOW.

In a while, J J Cale "Stay Around"  his postumus 2019 release of previously unreleased material.
"Attack & Release" ain't bad at all. Missing lowest bass info, surprisingly.
