Saw..... I'm With Her (Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, & Aoife O'Donovan) last night at The Stevens Center/Winston-Salem. No opening act. Good show, great harmonies, good song-craft. The venue has really good sound IMO. Surprised they only played for 75 minutes though.
Tracy Chapman "Crossroads" OP

Nikki Sudden & The French Revolution "Groove"  45rpm/OP/EU/Creation Records
When people mention great rock voices, John is absent.

Not for me. He is so great!
@6t5-gto,

In spite of the normal thought, although Steely Dan lps are very well produced, they are all not very well recorded.

"OK Computer" is one of THE great rock lps, all time!
Fleetwood Mac "Then Play On" Rhino re-master

This is a US version that lacks a song or two but it is still one of my favorite FM lps.
Hey fellows...………….

Peter Case "Beeline" ...another great one by Peter

I’ve been rearranging my records, so finding good lps I forget about...……..I think I have around 1000 more than I thought...……...really.
Hey guys...…..when I posted my total a while back, I failed to remember the boxes of lps I've been gifted and yet to go through. That's my BEST excuse...……..
John Fogerty "Eye of the Zombie"

Yes @6t5-gto

I have it and it is Great!
From the beginning, the Mono lp sounds compressed/muffled by comparison. This is really surprising to me. But, I really don’t have a lot of experience with the Beatles records. The BB lp sounds open and current.

The bass is almost non-existent on either. Ringo may have taken a day off??? ha ha.

This is really an awakening for me. I had no expectation of such a difference.

So for ultimate disclosure, I'm using my SoundSmith Sussurro MkII on both records with the mono switch on the phono-pre-amp.
……………...I absolutely love Tedeschi Trucks Band!

Heart "Dog & Butterfly"
The Flaming Lips "The Dark Side of the Moon"
...…...…............……...………..
@tomic601,

I'm glad you caught that show and the WOW! as well.
I own The Beatles Mono Box. I passed on the stereo box. For comparison, I thought when an opportunity to acquire a pristine Blue Box (UK) came up, I went for it.

I have heard one lp from the (Blue Box) previously on what was then a well known system. It is "For Sale", which is probably known as the lesser quality recording of The Beatles lps.

So, this is the one I'm starting with.
...........the above lp was "Yield"

Primal Scream "Give Out But Don’t Give Up" 2018/45rpm/dbl vinyl/pressed on quality vinyl with quality sound.

Jenny Lewis "On The Line"   BTW...looking at the cover, all I can say is, I never knew.....
Enough comparisons for this day.

Tom Petty "Hypnotic Eye"  the Chris Bellman mastered version
@reubent , @jamesclarke,

I'm one who has never heard them. Just checked out some of their stuff and it's right up my alley. Thanks!
@papafrgog,

Glad you're posting here!
