@big_greg,
I like your description of the JVC better than the vinyl engine.
Sounds really cool! Based upon the TT you're selling, I assumed the JVC is superior.

Foghat "Stone Blue"
No idea how my copy made it through my younger days so good.? What a great R&R lp!
|
|
...............….I enjoyed the 2nd lp more upon first listen. Looking forward to another whirl after flattening. |
Vic Chesnutt "West of Rome" |
Stevie Ray Vaughan "Couldn't Stand the Weather" |
Just finished listening to lp 2 of Steve Earle "Guy" after flattening. Sounds great! |
@dhawks,
Thanks, that sounds right in my wheelhouse. However if no vinyl, that will preclude me.
|
@big_greg,
So, what is your main TT?
|
My lp playing progression has been interrupted by unforeseen issues. In the meantime, Fleet Foxes "Crack-Up"
…………………………………..
Hey @builder3
Glad you’re here.
|
@6t5-gto,
I just sent you a message that you may be able to connect with.
|
David Gilmour "On An Island" OP/SQ=EX |
Hi @6t5-gto,
I noticed that my friend. Welcome to the club! What unit did you get?
I had nothing much to do last night so I went to YouTube and watched Genesis...behind the music. That inspired my record choice earlier. I think an original press would sound fantastic! It surely deserves a professional remastering.
|
Nice list @millercarbon...Doug Macleod is on my short list |
The Flaming Lips & Heady Fwends |
@6t5-gto,
I look forward to your message.
|
Walter Trout "The Blues Came Callin’" SQ = EX .........………...... @6t5-gto,
I’d appreciate anything you could do.
|
Radiohead "A Moon Shaped Pool" |
@tomic601 ,
"The Blues Came Callin’" is an exceptional blues lp. Something about it doesn’t seem to be "the same ol’ thing". Excellent musicionship really helps.
|
@big_greg,
I assume the JVC is a 70’s direct drive? The arm...I assume is a stock arm? If so, how do you manage those two components? (the stock arm & Kiseki)
|
……………..with my new Sussurro, I'm lovin' this lp! |
Eels "The Deconstruction" 2x10" lps |
"Crack-Up" sounds even better than I remembered. |
Hard Working Americans "We're All in This Together" |
Led Zeppelin "How the West Was Won" Box "for those who're 'bout to rock"...…………….. |
Hey @timsteinlein,
Never listened to Panic before. I bought several of Vic's lps a while back since they were offered as re-masters and I never had a chance to buy them previously. "West of Rome" sounds EX!
|
Kathleen Edwards "Asking for Flowers" |
@big_greg,
I love the way you described the tt history you have. What brings one closer to the music, ( IE: a personal connection), is THE goal, IMO.
|
The Steve Earle lp is sounding very good after flattening. Not sure why I had initial misgivings? |
Blur "Modern Life is Rubbish |
Elvis Costello "My Aim is True" MFSL |
Hey @tomic601 ,
I have both copies of that night, sealed, with the sales sticker, $2.37. in stereo.
How about that?
|
|
Hard Working Americans "We're All n This Together" SQ = EX
|
|
Hiss Golden Messenger "Poor Moon" Excellent!
@6t5-gto,
I have the MFSL "Katy Lied" as well. I never thought that lp sounded great.
|
John Hiatt "Eclipse Sessions" SQ= EX+ |
|
@tomic601 ,
If you're referring to Miles, the girl on the cover of several of his lps was his girlfriend at the time.
|
Death Cab For Cutie "Thank You for Today" |
Neil Young "Harvest Moon" 2017/dbl lp/re-master...everyone needs this |
Camel has been mentioned a lot lately. I've always wanted "Rajaz" on vinyl. I think it's never been released on vinyl? |
"Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" MOV |
|
Starflyer 59 "Dial M" …......……………………... I have an OP of Humble Pie "Eat It" from the boxes of gifted lps I’ve had for years that I’m slowly going through that looks very good. I’m reserving it for this upcoming weekend. Also, RSD is this same weekend. I’m planning on reserving my place in line an hour early, as I’ve got my eye on several.

Gary Wright "The Dream Weaver" |
Eurythmics "Be Yourself Tonight"
|
Eagles "Desperado" flattened and re-cleaned. |
