|
Hi Tom,
I was just thinking about posting the exact same message to you! It’s got to be on my all time fav list! ................................................ Khruangbin & Leon Bridges "Texas Sun" |
@tomic601. "Pour Down Like Silver" is my favorite Thompson lp. I like my Hannibal pressing.
|
Yola "Walk Through Fire" ............ @tomic601 ,
Have fun brother! |
Hey @bkeske,
I did a double take...thought you wrote Mom's Apple Pie. Familiar with that one? |
Rosanne Cash "The River & The Thread
When I saw Rosanne & John while back, it was a pleasure just being in their company.
"...we talk about you drinking not about your thirst..." |
I bought a NOS Beatles UK Blue Box a long while back. Never listened/ cleaned any except "With The Beatles"
That one’s on now. Sounding good! Quieter than a mouse.
|
@bkeske,
You should have had the Trumpet drop shipped here so I could break it in for you. |
Blues Image "Something to Say" pp/Illusion Records
fresh from the Vibrato... |
@nicks25,
I (hear) you brother. If I could go back in time.... I'd spend money on acoustics first. |
With the chatter about "Permanent Waves" 40th release out, I decided to revisit my MFSL copy..........see you on the flip side........... cleaning my pre-bar code copy. Well, I already hear the lack of lower bass registers. |
Nirvana "MTV Unplugged" 20th anniversary/dbl/lp |
Chris Isaak "Wicked Game" UK/wonderful |
Dido "Still on my Mind" replacement copy/much better shape |
|
Alejandro Escovado "With These Hands"
|
|
Edie Brickell & New Bohemians "Rocket" |
Rosanne Cash "Black Cadillac" |
Permanent Waves....After side one.....I now realise the reason I’ve shy’d away from this record over the years. It’s poorly produced/poorly recorded just in comparison to their other records. Very easy to hear.
Going to Ebay auction tomorrow. |
|
Big Thief "U.F.O.F." freshly cleaned |
Paul Simon "Rhythm of the Saints" The Teskey Brothers "Half Mile Harvest" thanks to @gosta for turning us all onto them
|
AC/DC "Back in Black"
2003/box of studio Lps + live dbl lp
|
|
|
It’s odd as I was actually thinking about playing my copy yesterday. They are a mix of Chicago/Blood,Sweat &Tears IMO.
Graphic cover art. |
It's A Beautiful Day ""S/T" Speakers Corner |
Alejandro Escovado "The Crossing" Saw him last year..f...ing awesome! |
|
Love "Forever Changes" 45th Anniversary/from original analog masters/Rhino/by Chris Bellman @ BG Mastering/stereo/ sounds really nice |
|
Shelby Lynne "I Can't Imagine" |
@n80,
Found an original press of "TH" several years ago for around $8.00.@ a record show. Great sounding record...BTW: The late Ronnie Montrose plays guitar on that lp.
Nothing about the The Teskey Brothers (lp) is compressed!!! Either your system/room or your cd is suppressed.
|
Tom Petty "Live/Anthology" sides 1&2 As much as I love TP, and I still haven’t listened to all of Anthology, it just isn’t making me want more. (I’d give it an 8) ……………………...…………………………... Ozark Mountain Daredevils "Don’t Look Down" highly recommended/SQ=EX/ not hard to find at any record show
|
@all,
I’m glad to rely on my system and hearing to report on lps. .........…...…......…... @n80,
I invited you to join a group of audiophiles on the "audio clubs" thread around 9 months ago. We aren't really that far apart.
|
@tomic601 ,
I may have to say "San Francisco Days" EU pressing
|
@tomic601 ,
Don't blame you one bit. Worth the wait my friend!
|
@tomic601 ,
I don’t know how much you delved into Chris Isaak further, but, going forward, you will never be disappointed!
|
great to have these instant responses. |
@oldbear
I saw Rosanne & John last year locally. They are wonderful! …………......…...……......…...….. Saw Jenny Lewis last night on Jimmy Kimmel. Loved the song she did to end the show. I think her new lp is set to arrive here today.
