Built to Spill "There is no Enemy".

This band has so much more output than I own but everything I'm hearing tonight is highly enjoyable. "Live" maybe their (creme-de-la-creme). The cover of "Cortez The Killer" is magnificent!
I’ve owned this lp for years and was aware it had issues. It’s just that as my system’s noise floor has been lowered, those issues are now more pronounced.
I started going through my tonearm/cartridge set-up, not because I really felt it needed it, but to find out if upon completion, I’d be able to hear less distortion on this one record. It was slightly noticeable, but far from gone. Therefore the last resort "deep clean".
Still has the excessive (s) siblance but the majority of the distortion seems to now be removed.
Vinyl reproduction is sometimes very labor intensive.
I should add that not only is the distortion gone but the lp’s tonal quality is much better and therefore more enjoyable .
..,..... brought out the old Fozgometer earlier to surprisingly good effect!
For the record, my "deep clean" consists of a slower steam rotation and a longer visit in the Vibrato. IMO, the steam portion is necessary.
Concrete Blonde  "S/T"  that's what I'm talkin' about……...….....
I found a new to me artist by accident recently. Sophia Phister. Just 400 lps. Got mine this week. She actually signs each one on the shrink wrap. Cool!
Up later.
Since lp1 of "Central Reservation" went so well, I deep cleaned lp2. It seems since there is so much blank space left on this lp, Classic should have done it at 45rpm?
Trigger Hippy "Full Circle & Then Some"

Side one is a preview of what's to come, And it's all good!
Welcome @iseland,

Honored you chose this thread as your first post!

Jackson Browne "For Everyman"  pp/

Definately gonna get a good cleaning later......
While Colter is fantastic!, I meant to put on another...............

Kansas "Leftoverture"
Speaking of "Acid Tongue", how about a little Jenny & Johnny "I'm Having Fun Now"
Built to Spill "There is no Enemy"

Finishing up from yesterday. Both lps (were) warped. Never listened to lp2, up now.
Big Head Todd & The Monsters "Strategem" Giant Records/1994

Another very good band that fell through the cracks on their way to stardom. This was their only lp on vinyl, to my knowledge. I believe HP put it on his list.

Remember Giant Records?... from another thread? Yes, the same label that released "Two Against Nature"

Anyway, it's goin' in the Vibrato.

count the time in quarter tone...."
Tom,

It seems lately that you're fading away brother. You helped me revive this thread,

Steve
@bkeske,

Here is just one...

Opening Night at the Met (LM 6171)
RCA Red Seal

Upon opening, there is a piece of the actual curtain (numbered).

Is this Desirable?

My feeling is this was never played.
@reubent,

Tom, It just happens that I own two CDs of BHT&TM. "Sister Sweetly" & "Beautiful World" which has the song Crazy Mary on it. Check it out man.

My Vibrato is Sooooo quiet. With all of my experience with US cleaners, the Vibrato really surprised me upon first turning it on. So quiet.... I wondered if it's actually working/working well enough to actually clean?

I've owned it for a short time but love it!
Hey @bkeske,  brother, I actually have many classical lps here, just don’t have an idea of their value.

Would you mind if I send you a few titles via PM?
