Well got my somewhat DIY power cord in the system. Replaced the stock Hydra 8 cord with it and daisychained the Signal Cable silver to the Hydra 6. I've read Furutech stuff takes a while to break-in. No real downside at the moment. |

Interesting James,
I spent part of my record collecting time focusing on Tony Joe White over the past 3 + years.
I knew Shelby loved his works and did "Poke Salad Annie" a few times.
My timing was fine as TJW passed not long after I bought his most recent lps.

Had a set of Connex spring pieces laying around. Put three with two springs each under the Hydra 8 which is/was sitting on a Symposium Ultra directly on the carpet. Placed a bag of shot (3lbs) on top. |

Regarding the Stereophile classification of the VPI Classic 3 as "class a"... I guess the reviewer was not so bright as to not notice the StP distance off. Just goes to show how deep these reviewers' loyalty goes. |
