@noromance ,

Was looking at your arm. Out of curiosity, how much damping fluid are you currently using?
Johnathan Wilson "Rare Birds" sides 3&4 after changing my platter mat's configuration (yes I use two) and a good flattening and my modified VPI SS center weight.
Nick Waterhouse "Never Twice"

Any NW fans out there? Although there's no mention on the cover/insert, his lps sound better in mono.
I think it's time to rock!...…..

Frank Black & the Catholics  "Live @ Melkweg"
Welcome @simao,.I assume you're referring to the MFSL/45rpm version?
………………………..
@6t5-gto,

How quiet is your copy of "Soul Journey"? Mine was spotty, just like MF’s, which he sent back. Of coarse, we never heard back.

Well I had such a positive revelation with the Hydra 8, that when I spotted a V-Ray, I had to pounce. It’s driving my amp, subs and my 4. Put my Anaconda on the V-Ray.
Another very positive upgrade.
Uber,

Buying used, it’s hard to go wrong!

I bought the Taipan & Python new. Galen Carol said 300 hours break- in. He was absolutely right.
Other Lives "Tamer Animals". again

This record is so much more expansive and open than it was last night, courtesy of the V-Ray.
Chuck Prophet "The Land That Time Forgot" just released

Another great lp from Chuck!
I’ve always loved Outlaws! This lp is better SQ than GR.

How could anyone not love a 4 person guitar attack?
@uberwaltz,

Over the years, I’ve tried all of the second generation power cords before the 8 & V-RAY. From Copperhead to Anaconda. I sold my Python a few months back because it was way too long for my needs and the Signal Cable silver was a noticeable upgrade @ a sixth of the cost. At the time of my experimenting, the Taipan & Anaconda were the price performers at used prices. Look forward to hearing what you come up with.

BTW, I've been impressed enough with the Mark Tunis interconnects that I'll probably try some of his silver PCs.
ELP "Brain Salad Surgery". Manticore

This is one of my all time favorites that I’ve neglected for quite a while.
I own 4 copies, time I finally dealt with this.
@noromance ,

The o-ring on the end of the armtube....is it’s purpose suppose to be...once the overhang is set right...push the o-ring up into the recess?...to lock in.
Dire Straits "Love Over Gold" US pressing

Comparing it to the lp in the Studio Box Set
Brain Salad Surgery, is IMO, an absoloutely great record!

Yes "Fragile" MFSL UD1S 45rpm
The lp from the box has more body, a fullness to the notes that combine to give the presentation "Soul", which I find to be crucial in the enjoyment of a lp. This comes at the expense of ultimate high frequency extension and detail however. Maybe the choice is because of the age of the tapes?
