Marcy Lutes ‎- Debut (Decca ‎1956 mono)

June Christy ‎- The Misty Miss Christy (Capitol 1956 mono)

Ears are ringing. The dynamics catch you off guard especially as it gets late.

@spiritofradio Nice.

@tomic601 What is this beater club edition you speak of?

@noromance big change on tube power supply, thoughts
@tomic601 I added a note and a few pics on my system but suffice to say I'm listening to records all over again.
Isaac Stern ‎– None But The Lonely Heart-Plays Great Violin Favorites (Columbia Masterworks 1963)
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds‎ - The Boatman's Call (Mute 1997)

🎵 "I don't believe in an interventionist god" 🎵

Bessie Jones ‎- So Glad I’m Here (Rounder 1975)
Lovely spacious live sound. Great liner notes. A capella voices, hand claps, knee slaps. Historic album.

Uber, reminds me I should do some US cleaning of all the albums played tonight. I'm guilty of prefering to play them and endure less than quiet on a few.
Bill Evans - Living In The Crest Of A Wave (Elektra 1984)

Immaculate recording. Sounds processed though. Full bass and detailed top. Anyone know if it's digital?

Monks Of The Abbey Of St. Thomas ‎- A Treasury Of Gregorian Chant, Vol. III (Vox Productions 1966)

Duke Ellington And His Orchestra ‎- Ellington At Newport (Columbia 1956 6eye)

A classic. Notes indicate the crowd of over 7000 were wildly dancing on their seats forcing the police to signal to the Duke to stop.
Jean-Joseph Mouret, M. Richard De Lalande, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Pierre Cochereau, Armand Birbaum ‎– Musiques Royales A Notre Dame (Turnabout ‎1968)

Robert Schumann; [Konzertstück For 4 Horns And Orchestra In F Major Op. 86] / Konzertstück For Piano And Orchestra In G Major Op. 92 (Nonesuch ‎1965)

Just Op.92 tonight. Magnificent. He died insane at 46.

Teddy Wilson And His Trio – Mr. Wilson And Mr. Gershwin (Columbia 1959 mono)
@tomic601 I have 2 copies of the original release and they sound pretty good. But to answer your question, I have no idea. There have been over 5000 pressings. My guess would be the earlier the better.
By the way, Pros and Cons original UK pressing is fan freakin' tastic. I saw it performed in London. Mindblowing.
Talk Talk ‎- Life's What You Make It (12" Extended Version) (EMI Music 1985)

Current 93 ‎– Thunder Perfect Mind ([1992] Spheres 2017 RE purple)

A masterpiece. Different for sure.

@boxer12 If anyone had Current 93 here, it would be you!
Black Ships is good.

Current 93 ‎- All The Pretty Little Horses/The Inmost Light (Durtro ‎1996)

Ha! Took it off after 3 tracks.

Home-Service ‎- Alright Jack (Making Waves 1986)

Roger Whittaker - Best Loved Ballads (Heartland 1986)

Needed something wholesome for the Quarantine Blues. Dad loved this guy. Solid recording.
Jefferson Starship ‎- Dragon Fly (Grunt 1974)

Bought this on 1/12/1981. Hadn't played it in 30 years but knew all the words.

Joan Baez ‎- Baptism (Vanguard 1968)

Some strong anti-war content. Spoken and sung. Mesmerizing. Worth a listen at midnight.

The Sugarcubes ‎- Life's Too Good (One Little Indian 1988)

Bought this when it came out and before anyone knew who Bjork was.

Various ‎- A Tribute To Woody Guthrie (Warner 1972)

Joan Baez ‎- Vol. 2 (Vanguard 1961 mono)
Heifetz Plays Bach – Concerto For Two Violins in D Minor, Concertos Nos. 1 in A Minor And 2 in E, Chaconne. (RCA Red Seal 1972)
Rabbit holes. I saved a few Gs by not commuting on the train thanks to corona, so I’ve treated myself to another AudioGrail sable 401 with SPH bearing and AS idler.
@tomic601 Saw it now, Jim. Good stuff. Glad you enjoyed it.
Funny you should say that about the Decca. It’s a gem. I bought an AT VM750SH last year for difficult records. It gets great reviews and I guess I can’t expect much at its price point but it gave me a barometer. The Deccas blow it away. It’s in storage.
And Sibylle gets around!

Prokofieff - Sonate Nr. 8 B-dur B Flat Major / Rachmaninoff - 6 Moments Musicaux - Lazar Berman (Deutsche Grammophon 1976)
Carol Kidd ‎– Carol Kidd (Aloi 1984)

Love this Linn partnered record. Close-miked and detailed in the Linn tradition. Intimate. Recommended.
Holst - English Opera Group, English Chamber Orchestra, LSO, André Previn ‎–The Wandering Scholar (Angel 1975)

Mint and silent. Fine soundstaging. Wonderful performances.

The Triffids ‎- In The Pines (Hot 1986)

Bought this when it came out. Got rave reviews then. Australian. Solid.

Timbuk 3 ‎– Greetings From Timbuk 3 (I.R.S. 1986)

Great album. Turn up 'Life is Hard' and test the speed of your rig. If you see this in good condition going cheap, buy it.

Sinéad O'Connor ‎– I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got (Ensign 1990)

Bought this when it came out and drove all night with a woman singing our hearts out. They were the days. Not a great recording.

Brian, as you know, those "Mullards" are not really anything like UK (Blackburn) Mullards. Is that iFi unit some sort of sound processor? Seems at odds to getting a 'pure' sound. No?
@slaw Ha. That censored a s s was an object of ridicule in London when I saw RW in the 80s.
