@6t5-gto,
Congratulations! Did you say your cartridge is one you've used previously?
Jonathan Wilson "Dixie Blur"... this is such a great record my friends, I just hope the fact I’m promoting it doesn’t distract you from checking it out.

Everything about this vinyl pressing is first rate. First, the content, then listening to such personal songs recorded SO well, then the packaging.
Walter Trout "The Blues Came Callin’"

Neil Young  "American Stars n' Bars"  from the box
"Bella Donna" is surely a historical document in the history of rock. Regarding the MFSL pressing.... it’s kind of odd as to how the required volume for listening, changes song to song?
If you're not a Jonathan Wilson follower, listening to this record, it's not surprising he went to Tenn to record it.
Robin Trower "Long Misty Days"
…………………………..

@boxer12,

If you don't mind my asking, what tt are you using?
Cat Power "Sun"...recorded way too hot. Listenable/enjoyable at lower volume.
………………………

just ordered another Stillpoints Aperture
Regarding the Neil Young box/lp… I've had the box sitting around for about 10 months. I finally cleaned the above lp for my first listen. It sounds fantastic!. I bought it from www.insound.com at 55% off. What a deal!
@jmolsberg,

Never heard of the Microzotl?

How is the Bettye Lavette? I've had it in my cart for a couple of weeks..

……………………………
Jackson Browne "The Pretender" MFSL / SQ=!!! !!!=Wonderful!
Very interesting and enlightening.

You picked it up Tuesday and already have new tubes coming?
Regarding the Richard Thompson lp…. I haven't listened to it in years because I thought the sonics suffered. Now, years later, it really is sounding very good. I guess I must have done something right in the mean time?
@jmolsberg,

Did a quick look from the link you provided. Wow! It seems like it will be a giant killer from a well respected designer. The price of admission is an added benefit. Look forward to your impressions. What are you running for your phono stage?
……………..

@6t5-gt0,

You need to get Neil Young "Harvest Moon"....the latest dbl/lp.

Such a superb recording! I own the original EU. This latest blows it away.
@boxer12,

Thanks for the update. It sounds like a labor of love. Did you use any type of adhesive in it’s construction? Are you a machinist? What about the bearing? Any more details a layman could understand.…?
…………………

@reubent ,

Common’ dude.. you have to give more details than that?
………………………..

I just installed my Synergistic Blue outlet that feeds my front end.
@6t5-gto,

You made me feel sad dude.

Have you heard The War on Drugs "A Deeper Understanding"? If not...get it! It's essential!
@boxer12,

You’re my new hero. And to think I tried to give you tips on your rack??

How about your tonearm?
No problem bud.
I think I’m going to pull another "all-nighter". I had installed a Synergistic Blue fuse in my phono pre / 3weeks ago, to good effect. I just installed a Synergistic Blue outlet that feeds my front end, and Woah! Immediately, I know I'm staying up all night! Way far from broken in.
@boxer12,

I took a look at your link. Not the greatest pics but obviously a time consuming project. I’m glad to get to know you better! I was kind of wondering...why the ClearAudio with such a TT achievement?

………………………..

Robin Trower "Bridge of Sighs" OP/EU
Interestingly, the little piece of paper that comes with the Blue fuse, says, that the blue fuse will probably sound better "out-of-the-box" than the Black.

I’m SO glad I never purchased a Black fuse!

I'm going to dig out  Lucinda Williams  :Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone".
@boxer12,

I’m not at all adverse to mm carts. In fact, I have an Acutex 420STR, I had re-tipped with a Shibata stylus a couple of years ago that mates perfectly to my ET-2.5 tonearm. This stylus is much quieter and more detailed. This will be the combo I’ll use on my tt project. I have a really nice compressor/filter system set-up for this application. Well, to be totally honest, I had an original Clearaudio Virtuoso Wood cart , I guess 8 years ago? Probably more...………

The Back Keys  "Turn Blue"
I'm looking forward to listening, today, these lps…………….

Neko Case  "Hell On"
Sun Kill Moon "Ghosts of the Great Highway"
@big_greg,

Common' bro...

Between The Kinks  and Prince...you shoulda' figured that one out.
@boxer12,

Regarding your bearing material, I assume you liked the hard coating over the softer metal....the hard coating for dealing with wear and the softer metal for dealing with damping resonances?
…………………………………………
Them "The "Angry" Young Them" Sony/Legacy/mono. Whoa! The music jumps out of the speakers!

Neko Case "Hell On"
Eagles "Hotel California" DCC

@6t5-gto,

Regarding Yo La Tengo, I played "Electr-O-Pura" last week and it really sounded very good. Putting on "Painful" now.
