Fleetwood Mac "Future Games" from a nice/clean/OP/version I finally found at a local record show! Shew!!!
After Peter Green's death... I was always a fan of Danny Kerwin and Bob Welch.

Thanks @ 6t5-gto,
I, like you, want/demand value from my hard earned money that I put into music reproduction. This exact same set-up (minus cart) was compared to TTs costing over $10k in the Stereophile review. As you pointed out, they are artwork!
"Synchronicity" is an EX sounding lp in parts, (as you eluded to). I just always skip over "Miss Gradenko". ………………………………………………………..
The Flaming Lips "The Dark Side of the Moon"
|
Tom Petty "Let me Up (I've Had Enough) from THE box |
Good Morning @uberwaltz,.
What...no North Carolina? I'm flabbergasted to say the least.
Really, I just wanted to actually write the word flabbergasted.
I think I disrupted spell check? |
@ghosthouse ,
One of my very all time favorite lps is BS&T...the one that begins with 'Variations of a Theme...."...so as to not have this title confused with their other's...
I own several pressings, but, by far and away, the best sounding one is my ORG!
|
Fruit Bats "Echolocation" |
Hiss Golden Messenger "Lateness of Dancers" |
Eels "Daisies, of the galaxies" OP. BTW
I really do (like birds)
|
ORG = Original Recording Group
DCT = David Clayton Thomas.
"Frogman" _ I'm surprised you aren't aware of (ORG)
|
The GH record has never sounded better as far as the "soul" it conveys. I give the Hydra 8 the props. |
The War on Drugs "A Deeper Understanding" |
Good Morning Jim, @tomic601 ,
SQ is very good! For some reason, the songs didn't move me as much as they once did though. I came away after this listen feeling that it was somewhat of a 'calling it in lp' How does that happen? I may be getting too old. Of course, most bands would give an arm/leg to have a record of this quality. |
Hey @boxer12,
I'm still an infant in terms of knowledge of Grateful Dead, so from my listening chair, you're safe brother. |
FOUND IT!
The Thorns "S/T"
The players... Matthew Sweet, Shawn Mullins, Pete Droge
........................................ Good Morning @noromance! |
Good Morning @spiritofradio,
I don't want you to feel left out brother. |
I have absolutely no sense of time. |
@uberwaltz,
Good to know brother.
Growing up analog is a (hard habit to break.)
Wait,... wasn’t that a song title?
BTW, I own the CD.
|
Ahhh....back to the music!
Finishing up "Leylines" |
James, Yep, part of the family. Will get with my family over the weekend. ( the part I’m responsible for).
Celebrated Mom’s 90th today as well.
|
Uber,
We got it all baby... Ocean, mountains, and for good measure , we through in all the humidity you'll ever need!
I think you'd be very comfortable in Texas after reading the above. |
I have an lp by 3 artist's. From memory it's Shawn Mullens, Matthew Sweet, and someone else. This will drive me crazy until I find it.
|
Hell, I feel like I'm retired now!
|
@uberwaltz,
I forgot the most important, deciding factor...I'm here! |
The War on Drugs "Lost in a Dream" |
|
@spiritofradio,
I may have another scarce lp! "The Thorns" |
Swell Season "Strict Joy". Never sounded better! |
I’m most of the way through "Spend the Night". Highly Recommend!!!! on ROG!
This just had to be originally, an analog recording. Sounds fantastic! |
Kansas "Leftoverture". Friday Music |
Well Uber, it's probably our most progressive city. Just by that aspect alone, I get the comparison. |
@spiritofradio,
YES! This is our saving grace! |
My copy of The Donnas "Spend The Night" arrived recently...first time on vinyl, courtesy of RunOutGroove. Ordered it last year actually. I guess I’m their only fan here because I’ve never noticed another mentioning them. I think they rock harder than any previous (girl groups).
Yes even harder than The Runaways. |
Travis "The Man Who"
Uber, you may know of him since you are from across the pond. Great voice, great songwriter. No one here besides me has ever mentioned him. Fran Healy frontman of Travis |
The worth, the meaning, the soul of the music has greater meaning now than ever before!
|
From my memory, Shawn Mullins had a radio hit in the later 90s. After that, The Thorns lp came out. Then I have no memory until Jim mentioned him.
|
Now on to sides 3/4 of The Donnas, "Live". Rockin 'just got serious. |
@spiritofradio,
Gonna clean and give a listen to "The Thorns" later. I find it perfectly interesting that you knew it! |
@noromance ,
You are correct my friend. I apologise to all involved.
Thanks for the correction. |
Petty, "American Treasure". Lp 1 |
@ghosthouse ,
You, "Thread Killer"? If that is true, it’s just one more thing we have in common, as I had thought I held that title.
The more discussion the better as far as I’m concerned. ………………………………….
@boxer12,
How’s "Double Negative"? ……………………………………..
Mark Knopfler "Get Lucky"
|
John Hiatt "Dirty Jeans & Mudslide Hymns" |
time to rock out...
The Vines "Winning Days" probably an overlooked lp from the early 2000’s. The SQ is Ex.
|
Gregory Alan Isakov "Evening Machines" …..wonderful, as was/is the above lp. |
Gregory Alan Isakov "The Weatherman" |
Has any band rocked harder? Hell no. |
Hey @ghosthouse ,
Funny you mention that, because I just noticed it in my email from TMR. But to answer your question, no. I ordered it last week and received it a couple of days ago. I now own 4 of his lps. I've been a fan for a while and he just keeps getting better, IMO.
PS, I may have one-upped you on our "Thread Killers" debate. I believe I was just, not long ago, partially responsible for someone completely removing a thread.
|
Welcome @aqueousaris,
…………………………… Rolling Stones "Live/San Jose '99" side 3&4 (right now)

@ghosthouse ,
