Erno Dohnanyi, Kodály Quartet – String Quartets

(Hungaroton 1977 mono)

Superb stuff.

(Verve Forecast 2006)

Various – Fast Folk Musical Magazine (May 1984 - Vol. 1, No. 5)

(Fast Folk 1984)

Julie London – Love Letters (Liberty 1962)

They do not make recordings like this anymore. Most modern recordings sound grey, veiled and muddy compared to the clarity and resolution of this. Silent vinyl too.

Allan Taylor – Sometimes (United Artists 1971)

System sounds fast, incisive, clean and blacker tonight.

The Costello Show Featuring The Attractions And Confederates – King Of America (F-Beat 1986)

Roger Waters ‎– Radio K.A.O.S. (Columbia 1987)

Bought when it came out only played it a few times.

+1 Steve @slaw

Peter Ludwig, Peter Wöpke, Arben Spahiu – Café Banlieue - Tango á Trois (Farao Studios 2006)

@bkeske Welcome back. Streamed the Hilary Hahn. Wow, that's quite an ethereal, empty, stark landscape those pieces evoke. What do you think?

Rhiannon Giddens With Francesco Turrisi – There Is No Other (Nonesuch 2019)

Stunning album. Music, recording and vinyl. Recommended.

@slaw Steve, why am I not surprised? You've a great collection. She's wonderful for sure. +1 Calexico.
