Ralph Sutton, Ruby Braff, Milt Hinton, Mousey Alexander – On Sunnie's Side Of The Street  (The Blue Angel Jazz Club 1968)

Recorded Live in a small venue with Telefunken mics, Ampex tape and Neuman desk. I can inform you that audiences chatted through performances just as much then as now. Good stuff.
Allan Taylor – Sometimes (United Artists 1971)

I remember this guy from a promotional UA compilation called 'All Good Clean Fun' that I had in the early 80s. That's worth picking up.
Bud Freeman And Buddy Tate – Two Beautiful (Cirle 1983)

Can't beat Buddy Tate. Amazing difference between playback on the Decca Gold vs the Super Gold.
New Mayfair & Ray Noble – Rarities, Jazz With A British Accent (Sunbeam 1973)

This is hilarious and quaint. The more I listen the more amazing it becomes. Musically and lyrically superb. Not audiophile SQ as these are 20s/30s recordings.
Tim, Thanks but I've had the Super Gold since 1987. I'll take the congrats though!

King Curtis – Soul Serenade (Capitol 1964) 1/2 side one. Not in the mood.
Jim, on behalf of all sane and decent folks, I wish you had put them to sleep.
Leonard Cohen – Ten New Songs (Columbia 2001)

Can't believe this is 20 years old. I think of it as recently released. Tempus Fugit.
@bkeske  I remember saying to you after the Trumpet that your speakers were next. Well done! Hope they knock your socks off!
I’m in the doghouse. Played the entire Space Ritual on the sub rig. Loud. Herself not happy. I felt like I was 18 again. Missed my old hippy pals though.

"In the fourth second of forever,
I could remember nothing that I did not love."
Holly Golightly And The Brokeoffs – Nobody Will Be There (Damaged Goods [2011 RE to vinyl] 2007)
Brian, congrats on the Treo. Your system is improving so fast. Let us know what improvements you're enjoying.
@bkeske I assume they’ve been run in already.

From earlier.
It's A Beautiful Day – Marrying Maiden (CBS 1970)
@sbank
Jerome Sabbaugh
I have 'No Filter.' I'll give it a second spin. They used the best of AAA production as far as I recall. However, I thought the sound was pretty dull and lifeless.
Lot of love for Natalie Merchant. I saw her during the In My Tribe tour. We sat up front and after I went up and said hi and got a big smile. 😍

Ralph Sutton, Ruby Braff – R&R: Quartet (Chaz Jazz 1980)

Green & Black organic white chocolate with hot Rooibos tea is a perfect accompaniment to this.

The David Bromberg Band – Reckless Abandon (Fantasy 1977)

Much more Dixieland and bluegrass than his earlier albums. This is a fine recording and great music. Minty condition.
Led Zeppelin – Physical Graffiti (Swan  Song 1975)

Sounds so much better than I remember it last time it was on a platter. NM and awesome. Who knew old 57s could go so loud?

Ella Fitzgerald – Sings The Rodgers And Hart Song Book Volume 2 (Verve 1959 mono)

Herself bought me this as a gift today. Could be worse. Very clean quiet copy.

The Golden Earring ‎– Eight Miles High (Major Minor 1970)

Hawkwind ‎– Doremi Fasol Latido (United Artists 1972)
Hawkwind – Warrior On The Edge Of Time (United Artists 1975)

Space rock masterpiece.
Robert Calvert - Hype, Songs of Tom Mahler (A Side 1981)

Bought when released and treasured.
Shirley Collins, Davy Graham – Folk Roots, New Routes (Decca 1964 mono)

Sounds exciting mammothguy54.
Calexico - In the Reins ( server ) I gotta get some of them on vinyl…what are the faves from the crowd here ?
I have The Black Light and Algiers on CD and a bunch on MP3 but no vinyl.
slide into the grave penniless with a bad A stereo and record collection
As long as Herself doesn't sell them all off for a dollar a pop. (There's a Fremer story in there)
Bo Hansson- Lord Of The Rings
@audiowav I haven't heard that in decades. I have it here somewhere...
Good travels South, Jim.

I’m feeling left out of the streaming DAC crowd! I tried Tidal HiFi for a year but SQ was subpar through the laptop.

Earlier.
Buddy Johnson And His Orchestra – Go Ahead & Rock Rock Rock (Official 1988)
Harold Budd, Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie, Simon Raymonde – The Moon And The Melodies (4AD 1986)
Doc Evans / Knocky Parker / Albert Nicholas / Earl Murphy / Gene Juckem – Reminiscing In Dixieland, Stomps And Blues Vol. 1 (Audiophile 1959)

The color of the brass in this lovely recording puts to shame every solid state recording made since. Recommended.
Been running my 1950’s NOS Western Electric cables
As good as they promise, tinned copper can't allow all the info through compared to OCC/OFC/silver etc.
@bkeske BTW, congrats on the Comets.

@reubent Nice deal. If the Fluance phono amp doesn't do it for you, try the Little Bear T7 or Schiit Mani. Both on Amazon and returnable.
Elly Stone - S/T (Columbia 1969)

Revisiting this and boy does it sound so much better since I added the springs, the Lambda 25 tube PSU, and the Croft RIAA-RS phono. Such a compelling voice.
