Patsy Cline – I Can't Forget You (Sears 1966)

Lee Andrews And The Hearts – Dean Tyler Presents Lee Andrews And The Hearts - Live On Stage (Lost Nite 1965)

~This is a pretty bright recording with in your lap audience whistles. Lots of energy with the Decca. Where's that old Nagaoka?

The Platters – Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries! (Mercury 1961)

~Sweet album of great music. Life sounded happy back then. A classic. Recording solid and lively. Great test of some interesting voices.

Mendelssohn / Bruch / Zino Francescatti, Szell, Schippers – Concerto In E Minor For Violin And Orchestra, Op. 64 / Concerto In D Major For Violin And Orchestra, Op. 35 (Columbia Masterworks 1962)

Super. Lovely depth.

Mozart, Turina, Heifetz, Piatigorsky – The Heifetz-Piatigorsky Concerts / Violin Concerto No. 5, K. 219, Trio No. 1 For Piano, Violin And Cello, Op. 35 (RCA Victor Red Seal 1967 mono)

~ not a great recording unfortunately. Loud parts seem compressed.

Beethoven - Arthur Rubinstein, Boston Symphony Orchestra / Erich Leinsdorf – "Emperor" Concerto (RCA Victor Red Seal 1964)

~ much better.

Anna Maria Alberghetti – Songs By Anna Maria Alberghetti (Mercury Wing 1960 mono [1955 RE])

Recording sounds of the era, but her voice...
This is how you know your Decca is tracking perfectly. Super.
The St. Louis Ragtimers – The St. Louis Ragtimers Volume 2 (Audiophile 1962)

Great music. Sweet dynamic recording. Black backgrounds. That's all that matters. Probably using black plate tubes. Listened to same era recording from the mid 80s and it was grey and mushy by comparison. How did they mess it up?

It's a sweet deal. Want me to sign you up?
@spiritofradio Re tracking. When the opera singer hits E over high C and it sounds clean and free.
Original Cast, Rex Harrison, Julie Andrews – My Fair Lady (Columbia Masterworks 1959)
James Davis And The Paddock Jazz Band – Burnin' New Orleans Dixieland (Shalom 1970?)
Parke Frankenfield And His Dixieland All-Stars, Maxine Sullivan – Jazz at Green Pond, Vol 1 (Ekrap 1985)

Signed copy! Surprisingly good stuff.
Played a few tracks from Aja after a spin in the US. Nope. Still don't like Steely Dan.
Doris Day – Hooray For Hollywood (Columbia 1958) {selected songs}

Lovely recording. Authoritative versions of Hollywood classics.

Wooden Wand – Death Seat (Young God 2010)

Great album. Nice autographed copy.
Junior Wells ‎– It’s My Life Baby (Vangard 1966)

Last one tonight for Big J. Time flies when you’re having fun. Back to the slog tomorrow.
CDs tonight so no posts apart from this on LP.

Martin Stephenson And The Daintees ‎– Gladsome, Humour & Blue (Kitchenware 1988)

Bought when it was released. A collection of superb soft folk blues songs of outstanding originality. A masterpiece but for one thing—the recording is not the greatest on vinyl.
+1 Welcome to my Nightmare

Gary Numan ‎– Savage: Songs From A Broken World (BMG ‎2017)

I only listened to a few songs when I got this when it came out. Tonight the whole four sides on the Spendor/REL system. Wow.
Alberta Hunter With Lovie Austin's Blues Serenaders – Chicago - The Living Legends (Riverside 1961)
Andreas Vollenweider – Caverna Magica Under The Tree In The Cave (CBS 1983)
Iron Butterfly ‎– Scorching Beauty (MCA 1975)

Never really a fan of this lineup but it’s interesting. Have not played this since 1986.
Faith Petric – Faith Petric (Bay Records 1979)

San Francisco hippy. Magic. Love this old-time country folk vibe. The best of old America before interstates and malls.
Mud Acres – Music Among Friends (Rounder 1972)

Bunch of bluegrass Woodstock NY hippies.
Schumann, Saint-Saëns - Jacqueline Du Pré, The New Philharmonia Orchestra Conducted By Daniel Barenboim – Saint-Saëns: Cello Concerto No.1 In A Minor, Schumann: Cello Concerto In A Minor (Angel 1970)
Jennifer Warnes ‎– Famous Blue Raincoat (The Songs Of Leonard Cohen) (Cypress 1986)

Bought when released. Stood the test of time. Probably one of my most played records. Still NM+. Very revealing of system upgrades.
Rosie O'Grady's Good Time Jazz Band — S/T (Rosie O'Grady's Good Time Emporium 1980)
+1  Kate Bush / Hounds of Love

Bought it when it came out. Remember being blown away by the side with And Dream of Sheep etc.

Canned Heat – Living The Blues (United Artists 1971)

love this double album.

Busy all weekend so no records on the table. We have a small community theater. Good fun but exhausting.
