Silver Jews "Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea"
"the pillow that I dream on
Is the threshold of a dream"

RIP David
Tift Merritt "Traveling Alone" from the box which comes with a bonus acoustic lp called "Traveling Companion". Recommended.
JIm,
I actually emailed Louis to let him know I was interested and asked him to let me know when he would have more in stock.
While we're on the subject, I received two other lps from @tomic601 ,
in my care package, two sealed Neil Diamond lps. Apparently, I'm in the minority here in liking Neil. I found "Taproot..." yesterday on Etsy....maybe a Neil shoot-out soon?
Dire Straits "S/T" from the first box. Yes, there is now another one.

Gonna put on my 45rpm version later.
Ry Cooder/ U M Bhatt, "A Meeting by the River" (lp) Water Lily Acoustics
Fleet Foxes  "Crack Up".

I've been trying to catch up on all of the lps I wanted to buy in 2017. This was one that slipped by me. Something about this band has always captured me and drawn me in. When the lights are low, and the electrical grid has quietened down, these are good lps to listen to. I'll be giving it another spin tonight.
Suzanne Vega "S/T" from the short-lived Vivante (audiophile label). Recommended on any label.

"... she's cut down on her lovers.."

Another best of "debut albums".
@waltersalas, Hey Chris,

Here’s one that’s kind of rare on vinyl.....

Hex "S/T" (Steve Kilbey & Donnette Thayer)

When searching for it, you have to put in something like Steve Kilbey/The Church/Hex.

I love this album!!
Hey Uber,.

FWIW, I have a mapleshade 3 shelf rack, the shelves finished in rosewood, that I’m willing to part with if interested.?

PM me bro.

BTW, you never mentioned you Rega had a custom plinth?

It was Eric, until the company switched away from their original carbon fiber pouch.

BTW, @bdp24 ,

Did you ever search out a EU pressing of Little Village? I remember talking about it on another thread. If so, maybe you could write your impressions of both copies?

Well, " You Want It Darker’ will be the lp I’ll compare LC last lp to. It will be a Tall order!
Just changed the BDR cones under The Shelf For The Source on the Solid Steel rack for the Golden Sounds.

Moved the Three BDR cones under the Trio

What a noticeable positive difference.  Transparency increased, transient response is superb, bass is f   ing great.
A great balance. Bass isn't overbearing.

Awesome!

Arrived this week,

The War on Drugs "I Don't Live Here Anymore"

Roberta Flack "First Take"

1969/Atlantic/pp

@reubent , @boxer12

I have the first two Beta Band EPs and another lp called "Hot Shots II". Unless this one is the third EP?

Maybe "Push It Out" is one of those songs that speaks to everyone differently?

Pre-ordered Warren Zevon "Standing in the Fire/ Live at The Roxy" today, on ROG/dbl lp/ 10 additional songs. I believe it’s re-mastered by Kevin Grey.

Speaking of ROG, got in the Butterfield Blues Band complete set at Woodstock. That will be on this weekend.
I was looking at RSD releases, there is an (Indie) Tom Petty Wildflowers 9 lp box for (just) $249.00.
NRBQ "High Noon" - 50 Year Retrospective

Going by memory, this a Kevin Grey mastering as well.
Hey Jim my friend. I had hoped you’d be posting tonight. How's the air quality where you are?
Regarding Warren Zevon, I do own a gold stamped promo. So any comparison will be interesting. The ROG pressing will be Feb 2021
