I've never seen a copy of the Procol Harum album with the red band around the perimeter.

Welcome to all new posters!

I don’t have a problem with MOV for albums from late 80s or 90s and on but for early rock, 60s or 70s, I’d look for originals.

Well Jim, just got through listening. The SQ is wonderful! The vinyl is pretty flat. The vinyl is slightly tricky but negligible. Side three is poppy in a couple spots. It’s going in my slow steam method. I’m sure VMP will make it right if needed.

Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters "Carry Fire"

2017/Nonesuch

Alan Parsons Project "Tales of Mystery and Imagination"

MFSL/Anadisc 200/original owner

Is there a digital step here?

It’s hard to pick just one!

Been remembering The Purple Mountains. Kept forgetting to play.😕

Spencer,

I didn't have confidence that Thin Lizzy was AAA and my pp sounds great. I'm interested in the Waylon Jennings.

Hey Bill,

What do you think of that Classic Records release? I'm disappointed in mine. My pp reissue sounds much better.

Back from a day with the grandkids.

Just arrived from Craft Recordings...

The Poll Winners: Barney Kessel w/ Shelley Mann & Ray Brown

2021/Bernie Grundman/AAA

The Staples Singers "Beatitude: Respect Yourself"

2020/AAA/50th Anniversary

The Staples Singers "Bealtitude: Respect Yourself"

2020/Craft Recordings/Stax/AAA

@bkeske ,

I’m another who believes your jacket art relates to your current profession. Your artistic design skills apparent.

The Rolling Stones "Goats’ Head Soup"

2020/50th Anniversary

Always loved this album. While not audiophile approved sound, I think this maybe a best sounding lp copy one can get

One of my first albums

Alice Cooper "Goes to Hell"

1976/Warner Bros

I’ve praised this albums’ sonics and music for a long time. Check it out!

During my youth, I would play this cassette late at night on my Pioneer system.

My copy of "Communique" was extra noisy!. I failed to return it due to family obligations.

Hey Jim,

My music friend was recently given, what looks to me like, a mint BEOgram tt. Don’t know which model, but it’s cool. Got it from original owner, rarely played.

Cool album cover Bill!!! First time seeing it. Is Ronnie Lane on this one?

REM "Out of Time"

1991/Warner Bros/(DMM in dead wax)

I always liked this album. I remember reading REM purists not liking it. This copy sounds great!! Maybe tilted up slightly. Maybe a case where with the balance tilted upward and music overcomes this.

Red Rider "Neruda"

1984/Capitol

one of the best alternative albums from that era, and it really holds up.

The Mountain Goats "In League of Dragons"

2014/Merge

These guys have really developed as a band. To say the least!

Alanis Morissette "Jagged Little Pill"

1995/Maverick/Reprise/Germany

I believe this to be the op in this county.

"you took a long hard look at my ass,

then played golf for a while"

Recent arrival,

John Moreland "Birds In the Ceiling

2022/Old Omens/Thirty Tigers

@j_husker,

Your healing must be miraculously to be able to mount a cartridge.😊

@bkeske

Brian, I finally put in another resistor, well actually I'm using a supplied jumper to give me 980 ohms which was your first suggestion and it finally made sense to me to try the highest value and listen for a while to hear (that) difference then make any other changes later. System was off since Sunday and just been on an hour but the soundstage is wide and the music is extended like I was hoping for. More to come hopefully. Got the Freya+ in and some vintage tubes, so excited for future listening.

@jek05 ,

Welcome to this thread. There are a few here who have remarked on "Live at Leeds " Abbey Road but don’t recall anyone mentioning Tommy. Check out youtube, 45RPMAudiophile’ channel. He recently talked about it.

Feeling nostalgic and feisty...

Nazareth "Hair of the Dog"

A&M Records/my safety copy

Hey Joel,

I love The Baby's. I always pull out Broken Heart. I think they were a little edgier on that one.

The Byrd’s "Fifth Dimension"

Sundazed/mono/"cut from the original Columbia Records analog masters"

Eight Miles High really has great bass, so it does on the Untitled album as well.

Hey @juanmanuelfangioii ,

Whew! It's exhausting writing out your username..

Saw them live, haven’t listened in a while.

Here's a rarely mentioned lp,

Navasota ",Rootin'".

1972/ABC Records/WLP
