@bkeske Good to hear you are clamp free! Have you tried no mat?
Also glad you got the pink cable. The dark green one is crap.
@tomic601
try Norwegian Wood sans clothing...
I see what you did there. That's why I prefer low compliance.
Vangelis ‎– L'Apocalypse Des Animaux (Polydor 1973)

Excellent and beautiful composition.
Tom Waits ‎– Franks Wild Years (Island 1987)

Songwriting doesn't get much better than this.

Destroyer – City Of Daughters (Merge 2018)

Tomas Örnberg's Blue Five – Come Back, Sweet Papa (Stomp Off 1989)

Franz Lehár - Kölner Rundfunk Chor Und Orchester – Paganini (RCA Victrola 1978)

@spiritofradio Thanks for the recommendation of Petite Fleur. Streaming it now. Very tight arrangements. Sweet vocals.

Big Jay McNeely ‎– Deacon Rides Again [1951] (Imperial 1983)

Historic!
Brahms: Yehudi Menuhin With The Lucerne Festival Orchestra Conducted By Wilhelm Furtwängler ‎– Violin Concerto in D op77 [1949] (Seraphim 1972 mono)
@bdp24 Great post. I was thinking when I was listening to BJM that this was the precursor to rock and roll. The roots. Hence my "Historic" comment.
@slaw There's reasons I don't play Steely D. Over-production is one. So yeah but it sounded good. The Ella 1959 mono blows it away.
Julia Lee & Her Boy Friends ‎– A Porter's Love Song 1945-1947 (Jukebox Lil 1985 mono)
Aja - Steely Dan (ABC 1977)

Despite this being popular with everyone,  I haven't played this in over 30 years. SQ solid.
@tomic601 I don't even own DSOTM. Too many nights at parties back then when TGGITS seemed to last hours.
Ocean - Put Your Hand In The Hand
(Kama Sutra 1971)

I don't think I ever played this. Hmm... gospel in the free love era. Flowers in my beard.
@bkeske
Furtwängler's certainly an interesting character. Close to Hitler, undisciplined, brash and unpredictable. Yet magnificent.
Brenda Lee ‎– Reflections In Blue (Decca 1967)

Like coming home. Especially after the not very good DG I abandoned.

@jerryg123 +1 The The - Infected. What a cracking album. The bastard gave me tinnitus 20 years ago.

Kid Ory’s Creole Jazz Band ‎– This Kid’s The Greatest! (Good Time Jazz 1962 mono)

One of my favs. Just great.
@cleeds I didn’t intend my comment to mean banned by government. Whether it was corporate censorship of some sort, the record sold in the US with a different cover. I looked into this a little more and it seems ATCO did release a version with the original cover. I stand partially corrected!
Florian Zabach ‎– 'Till The End Of Time (Mercury 1959)

They used a Macintosh 150watt power amp to drive the cutter from an Ampex 301. Sounds very good.
There were scores. Some were just marketing decisions. E.g. Roy Harper HQ - Hipnosis cover of RH walking on water was deemed inappropriate for the US.
And then there's Roger Waters Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking censored tush of a cartoon ass.
Five Guys Named Moe - S/T (RCA BMG 1990)

Scottish indie band that only lasted one album. Mixed bag. Better songs sung by the female band member.
The Lennon Sisters ‎– Our Favorite Songs (Pickwick 33 1965)

Sixties pop with great sound quality. In the room. Magic.
Marty Robbins with The Jordanaires ‎– Just A Little Sentimental (Columbia 6eye mono 1961)

Another in the room recording. Lovely.

Not sold on 45 rpm or 2 LP versions. I've 70s almost flexi-thin vinyl that sound incredible and 180 gram LPs that are noisy and dull. Give me an analog 50s/60s disk most days.

I must dig out my The Doobie Bros albums. Haven’t been played in over 30 years.
@ctwith3 Looks like you're having fun.  How's the Manley? Consider adding your system to your profile.
John Cale ‎– The Academy In Peril [1972] (Edsel 1986 RE)

Always a favorite. Not sure why. It's weird in an Andy Warhol way. Excellent recording will show off your rig. "The Philosopher" is stunning.
Little Willie Littlefield ‎– It’s Midnight [1949-57] (Route 66 1979 mono)
