Terry Allen & The Panhandle Mystery Band "Bloodlines"

2022/Paradise of Batchelors

a replacement copy 🤞

So far my impressions are positive on my new to me phono stage. I feel comparing resistors in the MC , will be critical. Then I’ll focus on a passive volume.

There’s a beauty now in the presentation that wasn’t there before. Although the SS could have more bloom😕 Lot’s of options going forward .

There’s much more of a difference in album to album SQ now.

A blessing and a curse

Another interesting fact, my Trio uses 3/6922

The Audia Flight is SS. Bass is incredible.

Hey Joel,

I have the op of that Beth Hart lp and it sounds great from memory.

Her Albert Hall set is great!

The Traffic album is recommended. Really quiet and great sounding!

Same as the box set pressing.

Bill,

I have "Walkin' on a Pretty Daze" which sounds like the description you mentioned above . I love War on Drugs. His album with Courtney Barnett is really good. They compliment each other well.

The Wallflowers "Bringing Down the Horse"

2016 UMe/Interscope

20th Anniversary, first time on vinyl

Brian,

I was almost ready to go for some of Danny's cords but he didn't offer 20 amp IEC, so I went with Noteworthy Audio. He may now.

I'm not complaining Brian, the Noteworthy's are wonderful. I do wish I could have heard them though.

Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers "Moanin'"

2021/Blue Note/Kevin Gray

The Magnolia Electric Company "Songs:Ohia"

Highly Recommended!!!!!

Beautiful jacket art.

So far, this Mark Knopfler box set is impressing me. The vinyl is so far very quiet and SQ great!

Hey Spencer,

Mastering engineer is Josh Bonati. I don't know of him. Joan is Kentucky born and it looks like the entire album was done at several locations there.

I'm getting a late start today.

James,

You asked about my phono stage.....

It’s an interesting piece. I am surprised at how on the warm side of neutral it is. It sounds great but I need to satisfy my curiosity with cartridge loading before I make any profound statements about it’s SQ. Right now, compared to my Trio, which is tubed, the Audia Flight has greater extension in the bass. Midrange is full. I wish there was a little, just a little more sparkle ( as Brian says) on top. My thinking is a different loading resistor will be in order. I think the SS could have more bloom.

The music sure does have a beauty to it now. Fremer gave it a glowing review 10 years ago, FWIW.

BTW, loved that Osibisa lp jacket!
