Albert King  "Born Under a Bad Sign"
Collins, Cray, Copeland "Showdown!"
Allah-Las  "S/T"

I mentioned it as soon as I saw it’s eventual release....been a while...….usually get a note from YepRoc before something ships.
@reubent,

I have not heard that. Thanks for the heads up! If it's available on vinyl, it's right up my wheelhouse for sure.

"Rainy Day Music" has always been one of my favorites by them.
Supertramp "Breakfast In America" MFSL
While this pressing is dynamic, it's muffled compared to my domestic "Brother Where You Bound"
(The Byrds, Tom Petty, Jayhawks music is very interconnected.)

The Chris Hillman Lp is awesome!
I love "Slow Train Coming". Lucinda does a killer version of "It’s a Long Way to the Top" on Little Honey! Someone gave me a very clean copy of "And Then There Were Three" that I’ve yet to clean & play. Sounds like fun!

Iris Dement and Greg Brown are married right? Is Pieta Brown, Iris’s daughter or step? I own "One and All".. a very good lp and very nice sonics.

Widowspeak "S/T"
@reubent,

I think I undersold "One and All" earlier. I just finished listening again. I'd give it a 9 for music and a solid 9.5 for sonics.
@bdp24,

Who is the John you are referring to?

@reubent,

You inspired me to put on my lp copy of "Little Honey". My pressing is extremely noisy. The sonics here aren't quite up to her normal standards either. Lost Highway has had it's share of hits & misses. I’m hoping my newest US cleaner/method will help out. I’d be interested in how quiet your pressing is?
@bkeske,

FWIW, I can’t confidently recommend VPI. I’ve owned that brand for decades. My Classic 3 Sig SE sounds great, now. Bought it new, (package deal) and had issues right away. It sat for a year and a half waiting for VPI to make it right. They will make things right eventually. The issue I have is this 40 year, American company, shouldn’t constantly have ongoing issues as much as they do. And some are fairly basic like S2P distance for example. I don’t know how many times they have rolled out a new product only to have issues. The original JMW arm, the original 3D arm, the first batch of Shinola tts, their  cueing mechanism, etc......
4 Non Blondes  "Bigger, Better, Faster; More!"

Frank Black & the Catholics  "Show me Your Tears"
@reubent,

I just noticed your post. Sadly, there was a time around when "Little Honey" was issued that Lost Highway & New West pressings has noise issues.

My recent experience with the (lp) re-issues of Vic Chesnutt on New West are pretty damn good!

Since you bought your copy new, you should be able to return it for a cd?
FWIW:

I just listened to my previously very noisy lp of "Little Honey".

After my first try with my new US cleaner, the noise level dropped noticeably, there is a sense of a space in time that was not there before. There is just some inherently noisy vinyl that can't be totally renwed.

I'd say the noisy pressing level dropped maybe 20% on this unusually particularly noisy pressing.  (This one was a hard one I'm sure to try and bring back to life.)

I have faith that other lps will bring better results.

New Riders of the Purple Sage "The Adventures of Panama Red"
@bob540,

If that were my record, I'd use some record cleaning fluid....let it soak a while then steam it. If you've never used a hand held steamer before, just use your common sense and remember it is PVC so if held on one spot to long, you'll create a dip on your record. I'd hold it more horizontally instead of pointing it straight at it. Good luck!
Brian,

Don't let uber get you down. (I think he's funnin" you), but it's not helpful.
The above Traffic lp sounded just fine. Putting on the same lp from the box set now. This one however, has been through my steaming process, never US cleaned. Here we go...............
Chick Corea & Bela’ Fleck "Two"
Kenny Rodgers "Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town"
Mamas & the Papas "If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears"
The Decemberists  "What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World"

@cjjeeper,

How’s "Carry Fire"? It’s on my short list.
Dido "Still on my Mind"
