Here’s my take @j_husker. I’d try to get some diffusers at the first reflection point. Then maybe pull your speakers in 6" (3" each,) and possibly your listening chair.
Good luck! |
My two orders of inner sleeves from Vinyl StorageSolutions finally shipped. |
@bkeske,
Brian....cool you where able to find those Eels buddy. |
Any of you feel you got cheated out of the Craft Recording, small batch, one step on Friday?
|
@big_greg, @mammoutguy54,
RE: "Blues From Laurel Canyon" I seem to recall my pp has a surprisingly clean jacket but the vinyl is noisy. I need to check it out.

|
Keith Richards "Main Offender" EU |
Just checked out my "Blues From Laurel Canyon" lp. It's an EU/Decca/ffss/stereo
Looks like it should clean up well. I should get to it soon. |
|
My yard work is finished for the day. Time to play..... |
Death Cab For Cutie "The Blue EP" |
|
Neko Case "Hell-On"
First song in and it's clear this lp is recorded much better than I thought when I first bought it. Chalk it up to my decoupling wall mount and other items
|
Buffalo Springfield "S/T" stereo from the What's That Sound box set |
Death Cab For Cutie "The Georgia E.P." 12"/one sided/5 song original was TAS recommended I believe this is the first re-issue Proceeds go to a great cause, IMO. |
The Stable 33.33 spindle hole reamer has really come in handy since I bought it. Ingenious/simple design. Those are the best.
|
"Mercy Now" just might be my favorite |
Brian,
Dora took 2/3 listens to grow on me, now really like it. |
Stillwater "Demos" RSD 2021 From "Almost Famous" |
Besides "Earth for Dora", his last 3 records are 10". |
|
I think you were fortunate to still be able to get those Eels lps at a great price Brian.
I ended up purchasing 5 lps while the sale was on. |
Welcome @dredison!
Glad your first post was here. |
Mary Gauthier "Mercy Now" 2005/ New West
..."fish swim birds fly Daddys yell Mommas cry"... |
Tim @boxer12, I assume and hope you have your B&Ws and Triton stack dialed in now? |
I think the REM lp would be a great candidate for a re-master over 2 lps. Maybe @ 45rpm. |
|
|
Hendrix "Band of Gypsys" 1997/MCA/Heavy Vinyl |
Buddy, in the pocket....
Jimi, on fire..... |
REM "Automatic For The People" 1st pressing Not very analog sounding but some really good songs Had a hankering to hear it again....
Actually sounding way better than I remembered. !!! |
"The Blue EP" again after a slow steam, a longer time in the Vibrato, and a flattening. The works. |
Bad Company "Burnin' Sky" dj/promo copy/M- |
My recent Popmarket haul:
Tori Amos "Under the Pink" 1/2 speed re-mastered on 2 lps @ Abbey Road
Garbage "No Gods No Masters"
The Black Keys "Delta Kream"
Steve Gunn "The Other You"
Jackson Browne "Standing in the Breach" "Downhill From Everywhere" |
Another arrival:
Fleetwood Mac "English Rose" Epic/stereo/pp/M- |
On now...
John Mayall "Blues From Laurel Canyon"
I deep cleaned it. SQ is really good but my copy has lots of minor surface marks that can be heard but don't really interfere with enjoyment. |
Cat Stevens "Mona Bone Jakon" pp/A&M
SQ is superb! |
All this talk about Kottke is reminding me of Mark Kozelek. Puttin’ on "Lost Verses, Live" |
|
Will do Jim. I have the original German pressing and it sounds good but my copy has ticks/pops. Plus they squeezed all those songs on one lp.🤨 |
Been listening to "English Rose". Sounds great!!! |
BTW, the Steve Gunn lp is highly recommended!!! |
|
Lynyrd Skynyrd "Gimme Back My Bullets"
Friday Music |
Tanita Tikaram "Closer To The People"
Recommended Highly on lp if you can find it!!!! |
Ozark Mountain Daredevils "Don’t Look Down". Wow!!!
..."just give me a six pack and a ’50 Mercury"... |
REO Speedwagon. " You Get What You Play For" Live Friday Music |
Lou Reed 'Rock and Roll Heart" |
Patricia Barber "Cafe Blue" Impex/One Step |
