@bkeske,

Brian, this B&N exclusive is mastered by Chris Bellman, so I'm hoping for good things. Noticed Acoustic Sounds will be releasing it soon using the Plangent Process. Hope I didn't pull the trigger too soon?

Joni Mitchell "Song to a Seagull"
From the Archives box/2021
mastered by BG
Brian,

I guess the reason you needed a new headshell would be for quick swaps. I understand your reasoning. I guess @noromance is suggesting using your current headshell for the most direct comparison of the two carts.

BTW, After listening to the first two lps from the Joni Archives box, I can highly recommend it!!!!
Never mounted it brother. I’m figuring it’ll be easier to mount it on my Townshend Rock 7 (with the extra stuff required for the damping trough), since it has threads
Brian,

Gonna be sending my Sussurro back soon. Thought about mounting my Zephyr * MIMC ES as the replacement but will most likely mount my as new Shelter 501 MkII to start with on the VPI.

Gotta replace the headshell leads as well.🤨
On side 4 of Skull & Roses
An enjoyable 7.5 stars for this entire pressing.
@6t5-gto,

Sorry your On Every Street sucks .
All my copies of are great. Got the original UK, the one off BG, the one from the initial box.
Made an adjustment to my Ushers from my memory of my music friend' system to the positive
It gets my highest recommendation! SQ is superb! High quality vinyl to boot .
That Eels record is one I don't have Tim. How would you compare it to others?
Brian,

Nice to have you listening/posting all day long. Reminds me of someone I know.
St. Paul & The Broken Bones "Live"
dbl/lp/45 rpm/RSD

I have the studio lp and never play it because it’s too digital. My hope is for this one to shine. Great music!
Mine is the 33rpm on red vinyl. Pure Audiophile.  There is a 45rpm version......must be fantastic.

Also, the piano is killer!!!
Frankly, my friend's system sounds better than mine now, so trying to play catch up.
This is what's so great about having a music friend!!!! I love learning, although learning is associated with understanding what's going on. I understand.
Jim, I helped set up my music friend's speaker/sub set-up today and WOW! I've never heard that album sound so good. It puts about everything else to shame. I commented to him that I wished we hadn't listened to it now because everything else sounds inferior.

That Purpleheart had been on my short list for some time, then a fellow member reminded me of the Van den Hul Frog. That seemed to provide more of what I might want at the price range. Having said that, I'm very satisfied with my Sussurro Mk II
