.........failed to mention that the Puritan replaced an Akiko Audio triple AC enhancer as well.

Warming up with Damien Rice "O", the last lp I listened to on Sunday. The cartridge always takes around 30 minutes to start sounding good. Right off the bat, I hear many improvements though. Acoustic guitar..... the plucked strings have increased resonance and clarity. Bass is more impactful and deeper. On one song there’s crowd noise in the background, like a gathering in another room.....it is more easily heard. Lisa Hannigan’s vocals are more easily heard and more meaningful.

Using the 2m/15 gauge Puritan PC that came with the 156.
@spiritofradio,

James, you seem to be laying back recently. What's up with that ?
Cool Tim! I’m sure the Cubs sound good, but still nothing like a full range speaker to bring out the full scale of music.
Rodney Crowell "Texas"

....."if I don’t get lucky
Man, there’s something wrong"....
I over-bought.....

I have a sealed copy of Alejandro Escovedo  "Thirteen Years" on vinyl.

Any of you frequent posters who love him... I'd send it to you at no cost.

Lucinda Williams "Passionate Kisses"

Holding it up to the light reveals a translucent vinyl like the JVC

"Alive She Cried" record club version/NM/freshly cleaned

Sounds great!
I've been blessed...

In my time as an audiophile, I've had opportunities to listen to various components. In this day and age, components equal power cords and interconnects..

I've had my share of all. In addition to these, I've listened to many power conditioners. Also, many other power add ons.

I currently replaced my long held Shunyata with the Puritan Audio PSM 156. WOW!!

A game changer for sure.

So, what I wanted to share is the best way to move forward with power cords and or conditioners.

Replacing power cords without the benefit of clean power is a fool's errand.

I recently realized this with the introduction of the Puritan PSM 156 into my front end components.

more to come......

@mammothguy54,

Joel, I wrote on the previous page about the units I have and what the Puritan replaced.
The increase in clarity as a result of a lower noise floor is amazing. I measured it with my Alpha Labs meter.
