Alasdair Roberts - Farewell Sorrow

Brahms: Violinkonzert in D-Dur -  Christian Ferras, vioin. Von Karajan.
(DG)
Walt Michael And Tom McCreesh ‎– Dance, Like A Wave Of The Sea (Front Hall 1978)

Bluegrass with hamnered dulcimer. Barndancin'. With the new rig, I've springs in my step!
Peter Green ‎– Little Dreamer (Creole 1980)

Accessible and commercially orientated with some of his best songs.
@uberwaltz Yeah, soft spot for that English folky stuff. I must play more of it.
@tomic601 It's a modified Croft 25R with Shuguang 12AX7LS black tubes, Clarity cap and some bulk foil resistors.
See my profile.
BB King - In London (ABCX 1971)

Roy Harper - Come Out Fighting Ghengis Smith (CBS 1967)
Clarence Gatemouth Brown Jr. - San Antonio Ballbuster [1949-59 recordings](Red Lightning 1974 mono)

Shame the old recordings weren't just a little better but man this guy rocks the house with this blues and big band jazz crossover R&B.

Tom Paxton ‎– The Compleat Tom Paxton Recorded Live (Elektra 1971)

Tom Paxton ‎– New Songs For Old Friends (Reprise 1973)

Peter, Paul & Mary - Album (Warner 1966)

Tom Waits And Crystal Gayle‎ - One From The Heart (CBS 1982)

Love this album. One of my reference sound check albums. Played it scores of times. It still sounds (almost) new. A classic. The phono amp component upgrade I did is paying dividends.
@elliottnewcombjr You sure the Earl Hines is 1954 mono? The link is to an 1981 RE.

Fairport Convention ‎- Rosie (Island 1973)

John Renbourn ‎- The Nine Maidens (Making Waves 1985)
Peter Green ‎– The End Of The Game (Reprise 1970)

Acid influence is strong here.
@bdp24 You can't go wrong with Waits. Even when SQ is iffy, the muse is solid and fun.
Itzhak Perlman, André Previn ‎– The Easy Winners (And Other Rag-Time Music Of Scott Joplin) (Angel 1975)

This is a treat. Nice sparse recording full of color. NM/NM is nice too. .
Scott Joplin died at 48 of madness and depression. You can hear the soul in the tunes. Recommended.
Brahms: Violinkonzert In D-Dur/
Christian Ferras, Berliner Philharmoniker, Herbert Von Karajan ‎ (Deutsche Grammophon ‎1972)

The adagio will make you weep!
Mine is the 1981 reissue of the album, originally recorded in 1954 Mono.
I did see it. Where you say " Earl Hines, All Star Session (mono 1954)", it looks like you were playing a 1954 pressing.
Count Basie ‎– Basie Jam #2 (Pablo 1977)

Strolling jazz with a bluesy feel. Solid clean spacious recording.
Earl Hines, All Star Session (mono 1954)
@elliottnewcombjr I see what you did there. I'm not sure if it's protocol or simply the way I do it - but adding the year, to me at least, implies the date of the version you played rather than the year a recording was recorded.
Georgia Brown - Sings Kurt Weill (London 1962)

Man, they just do not make them like this anymore. Startling clarity. A disgrace what they've done to recording.
@tomic601 Cheers. I scrapped my Tidal Hi-Fi subscription as i had no time to indulge!
I should point out that I listen more than I post on this thread. Not always in the mood to list off stuff!
@bkeske I've a few Flatt & Scruggs albums. Great musicians.

@tomic601 Good for you and thanks for acking my recommendations.
The The - Mind Bomb
Prince - Sign of the Times
Prince - Parade
Pink Floyd - Animals
Loudon Wainwright lll - 3

@boxer12 Yeah. Great album. I've a few 12" EPs too. I bought this when it came out after good review in the NME. It's got the poster inc.

Roy Harper - Valentine (Harvest 1974)

The UK original is far better than the remastered versions. By an order. If you ever wanted to demo analog vs digital..

Judy Roderick ‎– Woman Blue ‎(Vangard 1965)
Wonderful America country blues which sounds as fresh today as it did 55 years ago. Sadly died at 50 because only the good die young.
Leonard Cohen - Dear Heather

Bought this when it came out and just realised I've never played it before. Nice recording and quiet vinyl.
Herbie Flowers ‎– Plant Life (Philips 1975)
Love this crazy dude. So English.

The New Black Eagle Jazz Band ‎– At Symphony Hall (Philo 1982)

These guys are awesome. New Orleans jazz played perfectly. Excellent SQ.
