Bettye LaVette "The 1972 Muscle Shoals Sessions" ROG
"Blackbirds" playing after a deeep clean .Sounds wonderful!

After a slow steam, and an additional US clean. It sounds wonderful!
@bkeske,

Second listen to "Thanks For the Dance"

Can already tell my second cleaning helped bunches. My preconceived notions about this record colored my first impression somewhat. ( I always try to keep this in mind). Having said that, I’m enjoying this record more this listen.

It’s almost like he’s reading poetry....

...."I'm living on pills
for which I thank God"....
Puttin’ on my "Goats Head Soup" 2020/remaster

I think I was a little too conservative in my earlier assessment of this lp.
Hex "S /T" female vocals provided by Donnette Thayer. Producdes by Steve Kilbey.

This (lp) is so rare, I even forget I own it! Wonderful!!!
I use blu-tac after every side, Lyra every now and then. Got a Flux Hi Fi sonic cleaner that really works well
Brian,

Eels are one of those artists whose (lps) increase in value pretty fast.
I do similar when I buy box sets. Same when I got The Beatles mono box. I had similar thoughts.

Hey @noromance ,

I was always afraid to get that deep into tubes for that reason and the ongoing expense.

I say this as I pulled out my Quicksilver V-4s to dust off and insert into the system.

Hole "Grease Your Hips/California 1994"

2016/Let Them Eat Vinyl/dbl lp

Not audiophile SQ. Good performance, always liked her music

Brian, These came with Tung-Sol KT 120 cryo’d from Upscale.supposedly newish.

Fired them up last night for a while to bias the tubes in anticipation of final install.

Brian,

I had pondered Silnote over the years. Years ago when I had my first McCormick amp update, Steve was using Silnote as his upgraded internal wire. Now he uses his own.
