Reading my emails this morning I saw that Joan Shelley has a new record out - “The Spur”. @slaw , & others may be interested. Not sure how this got in under the radar. VMP has exclusive unnecessarily colored vinyl version for $31. Band Camp has it on black vinyl for $19.

@ticat Great stack. |
@sbank good luck with the move bro. |
@bkeske it’s a beautiful record. Yarling records are treasures. Silent vinyl. Don’t need to tell you about the performance if you can stream it but I was thrilled by it. |
@reubent Welcome back Tom. We missed you around here. |

@j_husker I have the same problem, so, I’ll buy them from you. |
@noromance yeah, I played it and there are a couple of great cuts a couple of real rejects and the rest mostly excessive progressive. Synths aren’t recorded well. Anyway, Richie’s singing is good and interesting inclusion on the record. |
@noromance Hey I just picked up an unwashed copy of the 1978 Steve Hackett record “Please Don’t Touch”. It features Richie Havens. Do you know it? |
@jpan was meaning to post that I have the Roy Hargrove and Mulgrew Miller, In Harmony that you posted about the other day. It’s a treasure isn’t it. Still a few sealed copies around the stores I’ve noticed so other members can benefit. |
@bkeske Sorry Brian, no, I just noticed that you appear to be able to type with Russian letters. I suppose that’s easily done these days but I wouldn’t even know the alphabet… |
@bkeske Russian keyboard? |
Rush - Presto. Great great music but not an audiophile quality record. This was the last Rush album to come out on vinyl in the US at the time of original issue. It (Presto) and their previous studio album (Hold Your Fire) are better played digitally. It’s a shame really. Songs like Razor’s Edge and the title track are for the ages good. |
