What speakers should I pair to my Denon PMA-770?

I am very new to this whole thing and was just given an old Denon PMA-770 Pre Main Amp. I'm looking to get a nice pair of vintage speakers for the amp...what should I be looking for? I listen to mostly indie rock, some hip hop and classic rock. My price range is from $200 - $500. Can anyone help?
