What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

MoFi I Robot, a DSD/SACD recording that plays on my Audiolab CDT 6000 transport and AA DAC. I wasn't sure it would

Many years ago I was watching a documentary (possibly on Yellowstone), the background music was beautiful. I deep dived and found the artist and CD: Voices on the Wind. Beth and Cindi; Wild Roses 1994

I haven't played it in years. Really lovely music a mix of similar sounds as Kater and Naki and maybe a bit John Denver

Michael Buble Live 2 CD set. The last time I listened to it was when using the Oppo 105 (with upgraded LPM) direct, but through my AA DDP-1 + PS5. Last night I listened to it via the WireWorld Optical cable which utilizes the DDP-1 internal dac. Quantum level improvement
Jennifer Nettles Playing With Fire, followed with Alison Kraus and Union Station, best they've ever sounded by a country (pun intended) mile

Why, you ask? Well I had been using a Wire World Optical cable, but read comments stating Coax is much better. And, so I started a search. Came across a thread discussing Coax and substituting a RCA interconnect cable. I have a 1.5M DHLab BL-1 Series One (light blue) pair laying around, and inserted one into the Coax I/Os between my Oppo 105 and Audio Alchemy DDP-1 + PS 5

Jaw Dropping!

That said I am ordering a DHLabs D750, which is returnable should I find no discernible improvement, but guessing I will, which will be even MORE jaw dropping

+1 I too listened to it last night. Been breaking in a new Pangea XL digital cable

Jackson Brown Solos Acoustics Vol 1 and Janis Ian Breaking Silence
Both scary realistic through my LSA Voyager GaN amp
Now that my new Pangea XL digital coax is broken in, first I replayed Heart I Dream Boat Annie (same code as George) and it was amazingly better, with significantly more bass

then Patricia Barber Companion XRCD. Need I say AMAZING?
Greg Brown awesome folk artist with a modern twist. Fabulous rich voice and excellent recordings  http://www.gregbrown.org/
Dianna Krall and Tony Bennett, an exceptional recording

Frank Sinatra Live at the Sands

Dire Straits 19 anniversary Edition SACD

BTW, does anybody know how to get my Oppo 105 to lock onto DVD?

Barbara Joan Streisand: Digital remaster.  bet you didn't know she can rock, too

You'll laugh but I dusted off The Best of Ricky Nelson

Next up The Very Best of The Rascals

Based on all my other posts, you might not think I listen to classical, but I do, especially now that I have an amp that can unravel it all. This was glorious last night

Prokofiev Romeo & Juliet

Ricky Lee Jones:  I haven’t played the original CD in a long time. Since updating to a Audiolab 6000CDT (one available in the classifieds for $499, a true bargain), I am delighted how much more cohesive my system sounds. RLJ has better space, depth, warmth, detail...

A friend copied to disc and sent me the new PS Audio mix of artists they recorded.

I didn’t find much there enjoyable, and IMHO, mostly odd choices to kick off their recording studio. Neither did I find the recording quality anything special. Maybe they sound much better as files
The Commitments soul music from the movie by the same name. If you've never herd or watched the movie, both are treats

Kirsten Virgard, KV, a 1990 recommendation from one of the popular magazines.

Greg Brown - this is a copy, don't know which album, but it is a double disc
